Great space, great cafe. However this park is clearly not invested in. The flower garden is closed. Much of the space seems 'work in progress' though clearly very slowly as it's becoming overgrown. Kids play park is well used. Crazy golf seems to have disappeared. Boating Lake is a joke, dirty and never used.
Kids train line is popular when sunny.
Take your kids or a small dog on the way to town.
Let's hope investment comes by the summer for more activities /fairs /musical events.

I visit Pagham Beach every summer and it is always stunning and ever changing (though sadly this is in part due to erosion). The low spring tide was amazing. It is very quiet and peaceful. Great for walks, swimming, crabbing, sandcastles etc.
Nearby is the lagoon (though don't use the footpath through the woods if it's been raining - like a swamp), a lovely family orientated amusement arcade, good café and little row of shops. Sadly no pub any more.
Tip - don't pay to use the car park (though often free on poorer weather days) as you can park free by the shops and on the road by them.

This is a charming old chirch in the middle of Felpham village. It was built around 1100 on tje site of a Saxon church. There have been many alterations and extensions during its lifetime. There are many features of note including the original 12th Century marble font. A stained glass window was recently installed to commemorate William Blake who wrote the poem Jerusalem while residing at a nearby cottage. There is an aumbry set in the north wall of the nave and I think I spied a piscine party hidden by a seat for the clergy on the south side of the chancel near the altar. There are two Priests' sundials on the external south wall of the chancel. After enjoying the architecture we had a pleasant lunch at the Fox Inn (about 100 yards away) which was frequented by William Blake. All in all a very pleasant visit.

Easily could have spent days in here. Fascinating collections and exhibits detailing history but also aviation technology. This museum is an adventure in learning enhanced more so by the knowledge of the staff. The contrast from the SE5a cockpit to the WW2 fighter aircraft, the...MoreThank you very much indeed for your most comprehensive and positive review.

Having booked an owl experience for my husband and daughter on groupon we were then emailed to say that they were relocating. This was not a problem for us and we were prepared to wait until the birds had resettled at their new site. We received constant emails from both Kevin and Emma until we were ready to book the date. On arrival we were greeted by Michelle and the three owls. We were in a party of four and were each given plenty of time handling the owls. Michelle was extremely knowledgable and you could see the bond she had with the owls who responded to her in an affectionate way. The owls were amazing, the venue was great and we all had a fantastic time. I have already recommended this experience to friends and am now thinking of the hawk experience. Thank you Michelle for an amazing time!

Open year round, Pagham Harbour is a glorious and peaceful reserve and is an internationally important wetland site for wildlife. The big, sheltered inlet at it's heart attracts ducks, geese and wading birds flighting to and fro. With a wealth of wildlife, beautiful landscapes, and a rich historical heritage, it is a great place to get away from it all.
This is close to where I grew up as a child and would always venture across the fields to get to. Nowadays it is via the car! When the tide is out you are able to walk around the harbour area from the main basin (by the Crab & Lobster pub) to the harbour wall and then back across the fields. It is a good circle to walk and you can see many birds, crabs left in pools at times as well as animals rushing into hedgerows (the last walk we did we saw; deer, fox and some swans on their nest as the main highlights).
It maybe wet and muddy at times so take appropriate footwear, but if you like nature and the countryside, it is a good place to visit. Just keep an eye out for the tide coming back in!

I still rate the My Kinda Facial at BC as the best, from the comfy water bed t the additional foot massage, head massage, arm massage (while face products are working their magic) to the chill-out room, all snug under blankets afterwards, it;s a real treat here. Both pools are also lovely, particularly the outdoor one (& we were blessed with glorious weather, not bad for later Sept). The staff are efficient & courteous, laying out extra loungers & cushions & serving the light lunch menu. The only quibble is the aggressive lane-swimmers when the pool opens first thing, we think they are locals, not hotel guests, & they really dominate the place

Visitors to the Roman villa at Bignor will tour the ancient site (circa AD190) that evolved over several centuries, and which houses some of the best preserved mosaics in England.
Visited on a lovely sunny Sunday, wonderful location, amazing mosaics of great quality. Lots of information available. Loved the fact this is a family affair not a commercial attraction. Reminded me of days out with my family in the 1970's. Great little cafe serving home made cakes

As you drive towards Arundel you can see the castle looming over the town. It’s impressive now so goodness knows how it must have seemed in the Middle Ages.
The Gardens are beautiful with lots of events on in the summer months.
The inside of the castle is pretty amazing too. Well worth a visit.

We visited this museum yesterday and it really took us back to when we were young and even further. The display and information given was fantastic and the people involved in collating all the information and products shown must have worked so hard in contributing to this show. The staff present were helpful and friendly and informative in what Bognor had to offer.
