Turned up with my partner and 4year old daughter on a cold, wet Tuesday night at about 6.30pm. Two tables already taken and the rest of the quite large restaurant empty. Apparently all the other tables were booked and there was no way they could...MoreHello, thank you for your comments regarding the service in our restaurant. We are sorry to hear this and will be providing extra training to our staff to ensure this does not happen again. We hope you can accept our sincere apologies.

Visited this Indian after a long day at work in Newbury. Arrived at 9:15. O decided on the garlic chilli chicken tikka. The dish arrived as standard chicken. Not a big problem. Decided to eat it anyway. Was offered to change to tikka. But declined. Must say it was very nice. My friend had the c/t jelfrazi and was happy too.
The bill came to £53:00 that included 4 pints of kingfisher. Slightly overpriced for a quick Indian sit down. Nevertheless we enjoyed.

Nestled in the New Forest, The White Buck Inn serves trusty British pub cuisine in a grand mock-Tudor setting. Guests can enjoy the private wooded lawns for secluded al fresco dining, or crackling open fires in the homely dining room when it's cold outside. Renowned for its fresh fish and seafood dishes, The White Buck also serves delicious Sunday roasts, Fuller's famous ales and pies, and hearty full English breakfasts.
As we had not visited for a while we decided to have a family lunch here in Burley. We had not booked but the staff happily gave us a table for 4 adults and 2 children at 12.30pm. The menu's duly arrived followed by our drink order but it then took a member of staff ages to return to take our food order. This order then took ages again to come from the kitchen and it was not A La Carte food but included 2 fish that was greasy and chips hard and a very run of the mill burger and chips. To top this for desert we ordered 5 pancake dishes as it was Shrove Tuesday and these took over 40 minutes to arrive at the table after ordering and were thick and like leather. We were most disappointed especially as I am in the hotel trade. It appeared to me that your head chef was on one of his day's off. We were sitting at our table for over two and a half hours with, gratefully, 2 very good little girls aged nearly 6 and 2. In hind sight we should have complained especially as the bill was over £125 just for lunch. During the time we were waiting for desert I went to Reception to ask for a brochure and tariff, to be told by a waitress that we do not have brochures, so look "on line". She said she would ask the receptionist to come to me but she was busy at that time waitressing! It appears on that day you were very short staffed. This was not our problem but yours. Unfortunately this episode will make us reluctant to return.

Went for lunch and felt standards had slipped since our last visit a while ago, No atmosphere considering its nearly Christmas, No open fires and dining area felt cold and unwelcoming. Had the `grill` which was smaller than a standard breakfast and very overpriced for what was served. Won`t be racing back.

A stunning 16th century thatched inn, with the unique attraction of being Ringwood's only riverside pub. Offering home cooked menu and daily specials including fresh fish. Quality cask ales and fine wines. Traditional Sunday lunch. Dog friendly (in the bar area) A reduced menu served between 3 - 6 during the school holidays
My wife and I called in for lunch at this restaurant on the edge of Ringwood. Whilst it is situated on the banks of a reasonably fast flowing river and is quite picturesque, the A31 road to Bournemouth and the West is just yards away and the large amount of traffic thundering by detracts somewhat from what otherwise would be a tranquil setting.
Whilst on the subject of a fast flowing river, parents would need to keep a very watchful eye on junior persons in their company when outside. To be fair to the restaurant there is some fencing and large WARNING notices are in place.
Parking is good, free and plentiful. As we walked across the car park the pleasant smell of wood smoke was in the air, emanating from the log burner within, lovely.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the menus were quickly and succinctly explained as to what extras were on offer / available and what was not.
Service was quite good and the food good but not outstanding. It was reasonable value for money.

Fine dining Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant
There are several good similar restaurants locally but we tried the Indian Tree for a change.
The decor and atmosphere were excellent and the staff helpful and attentive.
We had two traditional dishes, two special dishes, naan, parata, rice and 1 side. All were excellent.
The portions were generous so a couple with smaller appetite might consider sharing a main dish and adding some sides/breads.

Set in the fantastic splendour of the National Park, a taste sensation awaits you at this former Victorian railway station. Meet, greet and enjoy the best food and drinks for miles around, in a comfortable, relaxed setting. You won't be disappointed.
Called in for the first time, we have only lived in the area for near on 20 years!
Lovely formerly lady who had tome to chat with us even though the tea rooms were extremely busy. Scones to die for, best we have tasted in ages and all the meals that were coming out looked lovely and certainly freshly cooked. Clean and inviting, will defiantly be calling in again and hopefully very soon.

Great food and service, went with a party of 9 and sat downstairs in the cellar, Seating was comfortable with lots of scatter cushions. Food ordered quickly and drinks. All came out without much of a wait and must say the food was delicious. Cosmo our waiter was very happy and enjoyed having a laugh with us, the other staff were lovely to.
Would definitely recommend here for a lovely evening.
