Or simply take time to absorb the atmosphere of our venue, the beautifully converted village school. Enjoy browsing the incredible selection of whiskies, gins, rums, liqueurs, accessories and gifts in our shop. As we are independent, you have the opportunity to taste whiskies from across Scotland and the world, including well-known distillery brands, lesser-known gems and our own award-winning brands. Drop in anytime for a free informal visit or book a guided whisky or gin tasting to sample Scotland's finest spirits with a tasting host. We're ready to welcome you and share our knowledge and passion for whisky. Personalised Single Cask Whisky Step inside our dimly lit Cask Room and experience the atmosphere of a traditional whisky warehouse. You can sample a single malt straight from a choice of two individual casks and fill a bottle yourself. Once filled, it is then dipped in wax to seal it and you will have the opportunity to add your own hand-written label, personalised with a name or message. As only two or three hundred bottles of natural strength whisky comes from each of these single casks you can be sure you’re getting a bottle of something unusual and in very limited supply. Whisky & Gin Tasting Room Our Tasting Room is the perfect setting to relax and sample Scotland’s finest whiskies or gins. During a tasting session you will have the exclusive use of our Tasting Room. A dedicated Tasting Host will guide you through the sampling of a stunning range of Scotch whiskies or Scottish gins as you sit around our beautiful antique table. Tastings can be booked for individuals or groups of up to 20 people. The sessions consist of five samples and last for 60 to 90 minutes. The whiskies and gins we use are often limited editions so the tasting selection changes on a regular basis. This means that you will always have different whiskies or gins to try, no matter how often you visit us!

We often visit the Robert burns museum in spring, however, decided to wrap up and go on a cold February morning. Would highly recommend a visiting all elements of the museum, for example, Alloways Auld Haunted Kirk and the memorial. This is also free for national trust holders and is a great day out.

This place offers a good walk down to rocky beach where one can find live shells , mussels. It is picturesque with a great sea view. It's 10 minute drive from Ayr beach. Might have to pay for parking in the afternoon. There is dilapidated Castle which is locked.

Took a long walk along this beautiful beach in the wind and a light snow shower on Saturday 13th Januuary, 2018 for some fresh air and exercise. The views were dramatic and spectacular given the weather conditions. Usually visit this beach on a sunny day and sit to watch the sun go down. Both as equally exhillirating!
