Here with family for lunch and once again it was lovely, the food was excellent, large portions at a very reasonable price. We had 1 very small problem with my daughter's meal and it was replaced very quickly and the staff were very apologetic and it was dealt with in a very professional manner, great service which you do not always get these days. I would highly recommend this place and will be back very soon. Thanks again for a great lunch.

This is my local Chinese restaurant and has been my haunt for many years. The food and service is consistently good. My favourites are the Spare Ribs and Chicken Satay. Prices are quite steep, but I don't mind paying if the grub merits it.

The food is absolutely amazing. The garlic mushrooms were absolutely delicious! The catch of the day was pike and I had it with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The fish was fresh and well prepared and was accompanied by freshly boiled veggies.
My partner had a delicious cullen skink and the steak pie which was accompanied by hand cut fries, some of the best I have ever tasted.
The staff was very welcoming and charming. We have enjoyed it and will definitely go back!

Went here for breakfast and was very disappointed.
Our order came out wrong, when it was taken back we heard the Chef cursing and swearing.
The correct dish came and it was drowned in too much hollandaise sauce, also the ‘toasted’ bun, wasn’t toasted. The Scottish Breakfast was also served up with burnt potato scone to the underside, way too much fat on the bacon, a hard raw tomato and the sausages were rock hard.
If you can’t get a basic breakfast right, we won’t be back to sample anything else.
We complained and were told ‘next time your in, ask for not a lot of hollandaise sauce on your eggs’.
There won’t be a next time and it’s a shame, because they really have pushed the boat out with the renovation, no expense spared, lovely surroundings and beautifully laid out.

Visited for a meal recently - served by Nicola who was very friendly and gave good advice on the menu. Food was fantastic and we were disappointed we didn't have time to stay for the quiz night. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

A family run business based in the historical town of Dumbarton providing a variety of main meals, snacks and beverages and a variety of daily specials with prices to suit everyone.
I’ve been visiting here since I was a wee girl and the food is always superb, and the prices. I would recommend going on an empty stomach as the portion sizes are massive. It’s what they’re famous for....that and the enchiladas and steak pie.

High praise to the staff who are very polite and assisted during a dinner with work colleagues. Table overlooked the indoor training arena, with horse training and riding during the evening, and certainly different to watch.
We had nachos for starter, burgers and desserts. All food was deleivered hot with fairly large portions, and all very nice. Dessert of Eton mess was an overindulgence, though a great finish for the meal.
Wide selection on the menu with good solid food throughout, and all other diners had lovely looking food that perhaps will try on future visits.

Visited on a Thursday evening after a long drive from England just before getting to our hotel.
Did the two courses for £9.99.
Had chicken wings, salad, American hot pizza and Meatball calzone
All very good.
Staff were excellent, helpful, friendly, smiley
Excellent value, would certainly return if we were back in the area

I live nearby this establishment and regularly order takeaway. The menu is vast and contains a great variety of items, many of them vegetarian. Everything we have ordered from there has been cooked from high quality produce and was quite tasty. I would give the takeaway a five star review,
However, the restaurant is an entirely different situation. Tonight I went there with a friend to discover that the menu is much smaller and very limited in scope. The vegetarian options were few and far between, and what options there were were basic. I ordered the vegetable friend rice and was brought a bowl of rice with boiled vegetables and scrambled eggs. It was very bland and uninspiring. My friend had a fish fillet dish with bean curd that was very tasty.
Throughout the meal our waiter was sitting at the bar eating a bowl of French fries. To be fair he was using a fork, but the impression was nevertheless unprofessional.
I will never return to the restaurant as I could easily boil rice in my own kitchen. However, I will continue to order from the takeaway .

Come to The Stonefield in Dumbarton for traditional roast dinners and lunches exactly how you like them, any day of the week. Or tuck into our tasty pub-food classics, with unlimited veg and sides. With every plateful offering cracking value, it's no wonder locals in and around Clydebank, Glasgow and Balloch can't get enough. EATING OUT IN Dumbarton MADE EASY Our restaurant is relaxed and family friendly, and we don't stand on ceremony. There's no need to book; just pop in when you're hungry.
Stopped in mid-afternoon for lunch. The carver wasn't there at first, and when he showed up he was rude and uncaring. The meats were overdone and dried out. The roast was inedible. They were out of Yorkshire pudding, and even though we were told "it was coming" it never did.
Veggies were massively overcooked, to the point of mush.
Such a disappointing experience.
