The food was average..there are much better restaurants around this village...but the worst was the service...for a start, we've asked for a 2013 vintage, we were given the 2014 without any comments...both waitresses asked us twice what we had chosen for dinner...one of them had taken our order...the Chef didn't bother to come around etc...very poor overall

Stopped here for lunch as it looked less touristy, and we were not disappointed. Great home made burgers with real frites and homemade dressing on the salad. Frequented by locals, had trouble ordering our coffee though and getting the bill which took the edge off.

restaurant FRIENDLY Specialties at the discretion of the head of the imagination In a village house on the heights of Cagnes-sur-Mer , The restaurant " Les Baux " . Invites you to enjoy a tinted Provence cuisine , full of flavor and creativity. You will be charmed by the flowery Terrace and the romantic inside. An ideal place for a romantic meal with family or just a group of friends.
Restaurant Les Baux is a few steps from the main square in Haut-de-Cagnes but a hundred miles gastronomically further. This charming little restaurant with it's beautiful "curtain" of bouganvilla is run by two guys - one serving, one cooking in a friendly and hospitable manner....Moreargent7 thanks again for your visit and review about our restaurant of cagnes sur mer. les baux

We have visited Cucina Vera for lunch and dinner, in off-season and high season. It is always a very pleasant experience. Inside by the fireplace in winter, or out on the Terrace in summer. Engaged, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Informal atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The restaurant headed by Michael Fulci (young chef trained at Verge and Ducasse), offers a kitchen full of flavor and delicacy with a touch of Provence. The only all prepared fresh, seasonal ingredients. The masonry is an old pottery 16em century. The summer Terrace (patio covered with a pergola of vines) a green oasis. The room (restyled in 2014) has a special atmosphere with its wide arches Biot stones. The pearl gray walls gives a modernity while retaining the old charm of old stones. The dining room staff is very caring while remaining discreet and available to customers.
The restaurant is located in the pottery workshop of the 16th century. It is an ideal place to enjoy wine in a glass of fine biotic glass. The restaurant specializes in Provencal cuisine, so it's a great chance to try out fresh vegetables that are generously flavored with Provençal herbs and olive oil. Here you can taste a large crab with crispy mini cannelloni, beef fillet with olive oil and mushroom sauce; And for dessert - lemon souffle, sherbet and caramel.

It's worth it for the view alone. There is no better view of Saint-Paul de Vence than from La Brouette!
We started the night (we were there 2 nights ago) with a super tasty little aperitif, followed by the marinated salmon and the smoked trout - Michel's signature dish. As one can only order complete menu's and not à la carte you might find the desert a bit too heavy but who am I to complain? At least you leave with a full stomach and at €32 (incredibly reasonable for this area, I have to add) it doesn't even hurt your wallet!
Oh yes, added bonus: absolutely charming service!
La Brouette is a place where you get a real experience. It's welcoming, it's unpretentious and nicely laid back.
If there were more dishes to choose from (maybe a vegetarian dish?) I'd go much more often :)

Had a lovely lunch here with some very fussy friends. Everyone was pleased with the restaurant choice. Nice lunch menu which is excellently priced for the south of France. Superb service too. Would recommend
