I really liked this place. We got the table near the fireplace, which turned to be a blessing after skiing in the Mountains on a windy day.
The team which runs the place got several diplomas on international level for several things related to gastro business.
The interior is furnished with old style furniture, which you may find in peasant houses in Transylvania. The motives are Hungarian, of course.
The food is excellent.
We ate like we never did before, i was so full due to the fact that i did not want to leave any piece remaining in my plate. Family the same.
The meal types are mostly hungarian/local with a bit of a twist. It worths the effort to go back several times and try everything on the menu. Which we will do for sure next time.
Maybe we can also stay there in the pension.

We were there in two different nights. In both cases our experience was very pleasant.
We tried local dishes(a lot of meat, fries). The restaurant has nothing special in the decorations but the food and personel are very ok. What will it be useful is to have a playground for kids. We were there with two kids(one of 2 years) and we took him walking on the other side of the road.

First off, the decor is simple, but beautiful - handmade oak furniture and tile floors. We were very grateful for the separate no-smoking dining room. The menu is extensive, and we (a vegetarian and a pescatarian) had no trouble finding several great options. The trout with mamaliga and a marvellous sauce of chanterelles was outstanding! And the service was very formal, old-fashioned and correct, yet friendly. The waiter spoke a bit of English, and the menu was available in English as well.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, while passing through Odorheiu Secuiesc, and we were surprised to see how many people were on the Terrace. The dishes ordered looked fine and the portions big, almost two people could eat from them. The lady waitress did not speak very well Romanian, but that was fine.
Should we pass by Odorheiu Secuiesc, we will not miss Retro Steak House!

I stopped in to get some gelato and admire their goods. They have a few large cases of pretty hand-decorated cakes and pastries, and I believe they sell whole cakes and bulk orders. Go for the sweets, not the service.

Ate there with friends, we ordered 5 pizzas and a chicken salad. I didnt quite liked the pizza, it had the taste of a microwave heated one. We also ordered papanasi, they did not have sweet cheese at al and were quite expensive.

As far as i can recognize, the place was an old house before, which has been transformed into a pizza bar.
The inside has a retro finish, which fits well with both the surroundings and the thematic of the restaurant. It is also very cozy and warm.
There are many international types of pizza available but also local recipes, which i recommend if you want to try something different.
For sure we will go back some time.

When you want to enjoy music, drinks and a bit of a chat with friendly people, just visit this pub and you will understand the meaning of Szekler hospitality. A nicely furbished pub where great cultural programmes await visitors. It is loceated on the first floor of an old building block on the main road, this unusal location alos adds a bit to the experience.
