Twice I have been in here now, always a great friendly service. Food is very good, mans a nice range of lagers, a two minute walk from the best western hotel. Would highly recommend!

We had wanted to visit the Nürtinger Keller, rated nr. 1 in Nürtingen, but they were fully booked. They advised us to try Valentino's. A great recommendation. Our party of 8 chose various different antipasti (which we shared), main courses, and dolce: and everything was just fine and excellently served; we sat outside in the lovely garden on a warm summer evening. Helpful proprietors when it came to choosing wines. In all, for the 8 of us, the bill came to around 350 Euro, including grappas and coffee to round off the meal (average per person some 45 Euro for a three course meal with drinks).

Well, I don't know if it truly dates back to the Middle Ages, but it definitely feels old and picturesque, as is old-town Nürtingen in the center of town. First of all, from the outside, Nürtinger Keller (meaning Cellar) looks like a traditional German wood-frame farmhouse. Second, you have to descend two steep flights of stairs and arrive in a cavernous room that has a domed ceiling of brick. Yes, you are in a really deep cellar. Just a few years ago, you couldn't breathe there for cigarette smoke, but now the restaurant is smoke-free.
The food is hearty Swabian fare, lots of meat, vegetables, potatoes and the local pasta, Spätzle. It's a cool place to take American guests because the ambiente is predictably "European," as in old and traditional. I can't speak to the wine list, as I don't drink, but my friends assure me that the restaurant has decent wines to offer.

This place is called the "Slaughterhouse Brewery" and nomen est omen (Der Name ist Programm). It is (or appears to be) a converted slaughterhouse, replete with the tools of the trade (meat saws, etc.) hanging as decoration. (Not for the faint of heart.) Unsqueamish types will be rewarded. Excellent beer. Excellent food. My Maibock beer was cold and delicious. I ate one of the most attractively served and deliciously prepared salads of my life. The pork knuckle (Schweinshaxe) was crispy as could be--which is difficult to find. Generous portions. Friendly service. Definitely would go again.

The place is extraordinary, because of cuisine, the service and the spectacle, the team performes for the guests. The booking is essential and it's really worth driving couple of miles to spend exceptional evening there. The portions are large and considering the fact, that usually there are some free extras, added by the restaurant, limit yourself at the ordering the number of meals. The seafood and fish are fresh and delicious and the price reasonable, like for such a good dinning.

Ate here on business with colleagues and customers. Excellent traditional German food. Service was OK, it was pretty busy so they were rushing around. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I had Sawbian pancake soup for start and then a German mixed grill.

Belsers is one of the top restaurants in the region! Stylish atmosphere designed with a lot of love for the detail, and this symbolises also the way the excellent food is being prepared!
Classical courses are on offer but cooked in a modern and unique style. It's crossover and the quality is far away from the typical 3 ingredients way of other kitchens. Belsers is offering complex tastings freshly prepared.
Thus you may need a little bit of extra time which is well invested if you want to get homemade black tagliatelle with an interesting variation of a saffron sauce and prawns.
The service is friendly and engaged, as is the cook. The wine menu is a fit and in total the offer may be a bit pricier but compared to what you get it's well balanced.
So far I've only tasted the restaurant, but now I am curious for the brasserie in the basement which serves a more traditional variety.
For sure not my last time!
