We very nearly missed out by assuming there'd be a table for us at 6.30pm on Friday evening and were lucky to have the last one - we didn't take any more chances and made sure to reserve one for Monday. Just as well, too! It's hardly surprising that netts was usually busy - the food is excellent, the staff delightful and there's a very comfortable buzz about the place. Not stuffy at all, but great service and an interesting menu offering both traditional and more contemporary dishes. We don't normally return to a restaurant twice in a weekend, but simply couldn't resist a second evening here. Highly recommend.

In this little town, it seems like everyone eats here. The trout are lovely, served with a mountain of egg noodles and a warmish salad under which buttered potatoes are hiding. Plus, the service is excellent, very responsive. Not fancy, but you'll get a good meal here, and you can't be closer to the water unless you're swimming in it.

Had the opportunity to dine at this recommended restaurant on our last trip to Germany. It was a superb dining experience. The menu is filled with great food provided by a creative chef. Every entree proved to be delightful especially the duck breast. there are two sections in the restaurant, one classic German, and the other, minimalist modern. Both areas are delightful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have encountered in Germany.

During our visit to St Gallen we stumbled across this gem. The food was amazing and the wine selection impressive. The ambience of the restaurant and hospitality and professionalism of the staff made this a special dining experience.
We will be back when next in St Gallen.
Highly recommend!

We went there without a reservation and just got the last table. We ordered a local wine (OK), Wiener schnitzel (excellent) and pork medallions (excellent). We both also ordered potato salad and fried onions (again both excellent). The presentation was outstanding.
The greeting was friendly and we were immediately recognised as British, spoken to in English and given an English menu, although the specials were only in German which our host translated for us.
The atmosphere inside is of a traditional Bavarian restaurant (a very busy one!) and remember it only opens at 5pm and is closed on a Monday.
We will return for one of the best meals we've had for a while.

The inside of the restaurant isn't all that nice but the patio is great--sitting out in/near Gallusplatz. The food is very good quality and the service is excellent. Prices reflect that. We shared a salad and a main course and they added CHF 13 to our bill which I had mixed feelings about. They did split it for us into nice portions (which we didn't really ask for) and the presentation was very nice. In any case, I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a very nice Swiss dining experience.

We went here die to the great TA reviews. Friendly staff and rustic interior. The food is heavy. I had a chicken schnitzel (very generous portion - 2 breasts, very soft). Salad had potatoes. we also tried the boiler beef - served with a small bowl of models and a saucepan of beef broth with very soft beef. Had local beer and a Diet Coke. Had to try the apfel strudel. The bill came to a very reasonable €44 for a very generous portion of tasty food. Work checking out.

Here like triftt you look. The heart of our guest house is the curving bar area where you have nice conversations with a delicious aperitif, digestif, beer or wine ... Home at the beautiful Lake Constance. Regional ceiling paintings and the typical round Bodensee stove prove the Swabian Sea here their honor ... Overall, it's quaint to: Feel set back partly on a Bavarian farm, in the old days, while enjoying good times ... Just past the Bavarian lounge will take you with us right in the Ticino! The Ticino waiting room with a little flair to mediterraneren ... Time for Törggelen ... The typical Tirol Lüftelmalereinen and traditional chairs and benches with Tyrolean Fleckerlpolster adorn this cozy room with tiled stove or surprise at the entrance in the faithful Schwarzwaldstube with genuine Black Forest mill wheel ... like you can also enjoy the original wine barrel ... lauschig it comes to our grape arbor. The table in the open wine barrel and the original, restored wine press from 1833 make a cozy impression ... Biergarten time is the best time! Outside the last sunrays enjoy at erfischenden drinks and a tasty meal from our extensive menu ...
We tried the restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews. The space surrounding the bar is interesting. We enjoyed steak, schnitzel and pasta. The portions were large, and the food was good. The service could have been better, but they were a bit crowded.

Modern meets traditional bavarian charme, here a well balanced combination in near perfection.Food is very good, service outstanding and atmosphere relaxed. Next time i will take part in their well-known cheese-making courses in the Hotel even if it costs me half a day skiing! Not to miss the "Dorfladen" beside the restaurant which sells their own products(cheeses,Molke,honey,bread,milk,...) and bavarian souvenirs.
We'll be back next year.

Bavarian cuisine
During a recent holiday we ate here on 3 evenings. As in previous visits the food is excellent, and the staff friendly and efficient. We always enjoy eating here when visiting Lindau and would not hesitate to recommended. Booking advisable to avoid disappointment.
