Tortilla Flats is proud to have been serving locals and visitors of Vejle since 1987 with our Mexican cuisine and steaks. We attract a mixed crowd of people to our restaurant and everybody is welcome! We have become a multi-cultural workplace and currently employ more than 14 different nationalities. Most of out staff have no experience in the restaurant industry prior to joining our team. We hire for attitude and train for skill. Weekdays are happening, but more quiet than the weekends that can get very loud and wild as our famous cocktails start flowing! We look forward to welcoming you!<br>Tortilla Flats Loves You!
Very good Mexican food - and as someone who's spent a lot of time in the Southwest, I know good Mexican food when I taste it. House salad was excellent as well. Atmosphere good, service friendly. Can't speak for the cocktails. Prices were Danish restaurant level - ie $60 for a dinner for two with no alcohol.

Went for family Dinner and it was just fantastic.
Best experience is to select the matching wine menu; they do a fantastic job creating a complete experience between food and wine.
Some of wines on the menu did not taste fantastic alone but were fantastic together with the food.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to enjoy each dish separately.

Centrally located in Horsens, Oksen should please most people. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is well prepared. Although red meat dishes dominate the menu, there are other choices too, including salmon and chicken. Soup and salad are included in the price of the main courses and you help yourself to them from a buffet near the entrance. The wine list has a good selection.

We arrived without prior reservation which turned out not to be a problem. We were served by three waiters who were all polite, professional and patient. My husband and I chose to have the three course lunch menu accompanied by a Classic beer and plain water. The starter was a delicious steamed cod with prawns and spinach in a creamy sauce. The bread was home-baked in a funny triangular form and very nice. Next came two huge slices of veal with potatoes, mushrooms and vegetables. The dessert was a white chocolate roll with vanilla cream, sorbet and fresh strawberries. All three dishes were exquisite and just right in regards to volume and flavours.
The waiters left enough time between dishes for us to enjoy the aftertaste and the view from the windows. The rooms were formerly the miller's home, and the decorations are in keeping with the time period. The music playing in the restaurant was a great backdrop to our lunchtime conversation.
All in all the lunch wasn't cheap, but we felt that we got very good value, and will definitely go back when we have the chance.

Are little child is allergic to milk and we looked around for something to eat. We strolled around and luckily found this excellent Italian restaurant. We took the papardela with raggo and the ravioli ricotta and it was perfect. One of the best restaurant i have been in.

Dollys is a authentic Danish Restaurant, at the old commercial port of Horsens. The Restaurant is placed in the Dockers old historic shelter building. The food is classic danish cuisine made from scratch with a lot of quality foods from local producers. Their signature dish is fried pork with parsley sauce; The National dish of Denmark. Also serving a wide range of danish specialities like mussels, home smoked salmon, pickled heering, steaks, fresh fish, celeriac steak (vegan) and traditional danish burger with gravy. Dollys offer a cosy restaurant, Terrace at the old labour, easy parking. Open monday to Saturday both lunch and dinner.
I've traveled to Horsens twice, and both times it's been a highlight to visit Dolly's. I'm a pescatarian, so I haven't tried their famous crispy pork (which everyone does highly recommend), but I loved the three different types of cured herring, especially (and surprisingly!) the one with curry. The Shooting Star plate with an assortment of fish and shrimps was excellent and flavorful, and very fresh - the restaurant is close to the water, and has a nice garden area in which to relax and enjoy a drink, though the interior is charming, with lots of nautical decor.
I can't underscore enough the friendliness, helpfulness, and kindness of the staff - they make the place even more unbelievably charming and homey. If you're not familiar with Denmark (like me), definitely ask for Trine - she's fabulous, sweet, and smart, and she'll take care of you!
Also the brownie with ice cream. Go for the brownie.

Danish classics Restaurant Remouladen in the heart of Vejle serves traditional Danish cuisine of a fine quality often hard to come by. The menu is dedicated to such popular Danish classics as open-faced sandwiches and hearty fare made with fine produce from the sea and land.
The location for this restaurant can hardly be better in Vejle. It is situated just on the waters edge by the yacht club. The food was very well made. It seems like the restaurant has great ambition however the service cannot compliment them. I would not mind eating there again.
