’t Nonnetje** is a restaurant full of atmosphere with a nice intimate character situated on a historical square named the Vischmarkt in the old centre of Harderwijk. In a relaxed ambiance owner Robert-Jan Nijland, SVH masterchef Michel van der Kroft and team surprise and delight their guests from the Netherlands and abroad with a cooking style in which original dishes are the issue in Menu de Temptation, Menu de Temptation Botanica en Michel’s Masterchef Menu. Hospitality is a natural feature, we would like to take you on a trip into our creative and culinary world. The competitive price that we ask makes us the restaurant for every gastronomer and epicurean.
We had the four-course signature menu of Michel van der Kroft and had a wonderful evening. Started with oysters and champagne - can't even to begin to describe the other dishes because they were such a fantastic blend of tastes and challenges, served to perfection for the taste buds and for the beholder. The wine arrangement was great. This restaurant definitely deserves the two Michelin stars!

Has two Michelin stars
An absolutely top restaurant, not cheap and worth every penny. Atmosphere is modern, relaxed in a spacious well decorated set of dining rooms. The staff behaves professional and friendly. Both add to the complete experience of dining in this fine restaurant. The experience is completed by an amazing top-chef supplying totally new tastes and food experience, cooked to perfection for the guests.
We took the larger 'experience" dinner with a wine arrangement (BOB, meaning 1/2 glasses). The dining started with 3 sets of amuses, all totally different in shape, taste and experience. The one I absolutely loved is salmon tartar with red beet. Another excellent new experience was an amuse on top of a lime. After those 6 amuses, the dinner started. Makrel cooked at 42 degrees, with fresh veggies, followed by lobster with various pees, gamba's with complicated sauces, trout with a crunch, all the fish cooked to absolute perfection. extremely challenging to achieve that . Than it was time for something healthy.. duck liver. The main course (if one could say that) was a piece of perfectly prepared lamb, with spiced sweet potato. If this was not enough, four Deserts followed; a fresh spicer, season fruit, framboise, season fruit, strawberry and nut cake.
In general: The chef experiments with new spices, from my extensive travel experience I tend to say that the spices lean towards the Middle Eastern region.
What we especially liked is that the amount of protein was limited and the amount of vegetables is excellent. The variety, taste, and quality of the vegetables was absolutely outstanding. The portions are smal enough to enjoy it all and big enough to leave you not wanting anything to eat anymore for a year.
Can I say any negative? NO!

The PUUR M formula: small dishes, great tastes. For all lovers of honest food and excellent wines.
Having given a great review to this restaurant 6 months ago, my Wife and I were really looking forward to eating here again. There were only 3 other tables occupied on a dark Monday evening, but despite the lack of clients the attention and service given to us was really disappointing. The Chef's wife seemed to give all her attention to the other tables of local people that she obviously knew well and seemed disinterested as to whether we wanted any more wine, water or to discuss whether we enjoyed the food etc.
The food was however still very good albeit small portions so that we needed a portion of frites and the only one bread roll offered to make up for it.
What a shame after such a promising start! Will not return again.

I got a 6 course dinner at this restaurant as a birthday present. It is the oldest Michelin starred restaurant (1*) in the Netherlands. It was absolutely fabulous. Over the years we have visited Michelin starred restaurants in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, France and the U.K., but chef Tonny Berentsen is absolutely one of the best. The wine selection with the different courses was perfect. Absolutely worth a visit (even a special trip). The restaurant is connected to the 4* Bilderberg hotel Klein Zwitserland.

EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF DINING AT DE NIEUWE WINKEL. Prepare to be surprised and amazed by unusual flavours, the pureness of ingredients, food to make you laugh out loud or that you want to savour in silence - all served in our own unique style. Welcome.
OK, this is me; if I may pick something: steak is the name. So all this veggie stuff is beyond my radar. Until I dined here. What a pleasant surprise. The texture, the small and hidden surprises, the opulent taste, the variety, too good to be true. We had the Groenten 52 (yes 52 euro's) and that gives you a 5 course dinner. You can have matching non alcoholic juices if you desire. The waiters are very courteous, likable, and know their stuff. Ever had pine needles for desert? Guess not, well at the Nieuwe Winkel it's what you get. Go there before Michelin finds out.

Although it is only a stone's throw away from our home, we had never been to Vesters. We went for dinner the two of us because de children were away. We did not regret it. The food was delicious, the service personal and friendly. We particularly enjoyed choosing our own cheeses for the cheese platter at the end of our meal. An explanation of the origin and taste of every cheese was given to us personally by the owner. Vesters is not cheap, but worth every penny.

My wife and I were guests of a local couple that spoke well of this restaurant. Their enthusiasm was obvious and we were not disappointed. We enjoy Asian food and regularly dine in a Thai restaurant when traveling. The green and red curries we enjoyed here were like no others. My only regret is that I could only order one dish!
The owner of the restaurant was onsite as was his Thai wife, who is the chef. We learned that their curry pastes are flown in from Thailand.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and can only hope your menu selection will be as fresh and tasty as our own.

My wife, elder son and I enjoyed a well prepared, tasty and generously portioned dinner at Karakter. It is a small intimate restaurant. The maitre'd was very attentive and the wine and food price were reasonable.

Based on the good reviews here on Tripadvisor my wife and I made Reservations for dinner. We were early and were sat by the window. Noticeable was the staff rushing to open the door when they see (potential) patrons arriving: how thoughtful. I will not dwell too long on the excellent food quality and the attentive service staff. What struck me is that we dined here very well, had a three-course meal and a bottle of good wine for just 99 euro. We will most definitely come back as soon as we are in the area and can highly recommend this restaurant. Book well in advance because they are busy every night.
