Had company for the evening and decided to try Apollo Pizzeria for the first time. Arrived there to see BIG sign saying "Please Wait to be Seated". We stood in the doorway for a good 5 minutes while waitresses walked right past us. As well as the employee handling the Takeout counter, who stood and looked right at us. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE ACKNOWLEDGED OUR PRESENCE. Finally had to approach the Takeout counter and the employee made a joke and went off to get someone. No apology. Finally we were seated, still no apology. Ordered a drink and then a meal. The food was good, but we were never given the chance to order another drink and the waitress was rather gruff and unfriendly.
Needless to say I will not be returning to Apollo's anytime soon.

While visiting in the area we stopped in Campbellville at Capers Restaurant. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is situated in an old brick home that has been renovated. Quaint and quiet. The servers are just so pleasant. Food is fantastic. We had the Turkey, apple and brie club Sandwich. Their fries are to die for. Prices are very reasonable I will definitely go back whenever in the area.

1/2 meal (hot food) served... salads are buffet.
Food - amazing tasting of course not everything compares to mom's food but some was (sorry mom I'll bring you next time)
Hot
- Beef (outside round) and ham (good quality)
- potatoes mashed and scallops (could have used a bit more of something)
- carrots/corn, and some tasty gravy
Cold
- salads good variety pasta, Caesar and spinach
- variety of pickles including beats, green olives
- several other cold items
Service
- accommodated a group of 12 easily and asked us about of any birthday/events
- could have used a couple more drinks if asked
Price
- very reasonable 2 people each had 1 rum and coke total bill was $55 tax included
Overall... super stuffed leaving the place with content taste buds.
Will we go back? Most definitely and likely bring my parents.

Very simple place that makes excellent fresh, simple subs. Nothing like subway, more like an old-fashioned sub shop. Nothing exotic like shrimp or avocado, but still excellent subs and wraps. The Owner, John, really supports his community!!!

Tried this place for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. My hamburger was just the one I've been looking for. Homemade patty, soft fresh bakery bun. The rosty was a great starter also, (ask for extra dip!) Rest of family enjoyed their meals, especially the silver dollar fries.
Not the prettiest or newest place but I will definitely be back for the burger alone.

After the customary visit to Doohers, which I have previously reviewed, we found ourselves here. The decor was pleasant as were the staff.
The menu was what I have come to accept as standard Canadian fare. Wholesome food and plenty of it..and good value for money. I opted for the Veggie omelette with potatoes and toast. My companion, as always, chose bacon with various add-ons....
It was served swiftly, piping hot with the requested pot of tea.
I would have no qualms in recommending this establishment.

Ming Star Restaurant
Front Street
Cambellford. ON
We decided after Reading the reviews on Trip Advisor to try this establishment. When we arrived we discovered that it was a buffet style restaurant. We asked if we could look at the buffet, reluctantly they said yes. They wanted us to choose a table first, we wanted to look first. We looked and decided to stay for the buffet. The table we chose had a few items on it from a previous guest, neither my wife or myself liked the vacant, clean tables so we asked if we could sit at the table of our choice. This brought an unusual reaction, we both immediately felt we had crossed some kind of line and we were asked to stand by the front door and wait, as if we were being punished, it was an attitude more than anything . that made us feel this way. There were 2 servers, one was not occupied and the server/hostess busied herself with some other job. She did not clear the little bit of stuff from the table, nor did she ask the other server to do it. We felt that the introduction to the Ming Star was not good, therefore the meal and conclusion would not get better. We cannot comment on the food because we decided to leave. Funny attitude from a small town restaurant in the off season when diners are fewer

I have visited Dooher's each time that I have visited my family in Belleville. A superb variety of breads, doughnuts and pies. All freshly baked, tasty and great value for money. A true gem!

This restaurant fell down in quality but the new owner has improved things a lot. Batter on the fish is well cooked and not too thick, not made with lard any more but with canola oil, so much better.Thank you very much for your comments. Your compliments make us keep improving and make sure you are happy every time you or your family and friends spend time at Captain George Campbellford.

We both had the shrimp and lobster mac and cheese...absolutely delicious. Not even a hint of fishiness, tasted fresh, cheesy and creamy. And I say this as a person who doesn't eat shellfish unless she is in PEI and knows it is fresh off the...MoreThank you so much for a wonderful review. it is always a pleasure to serve you. Many thanks Ravi
