This bridge overlooks the Ranney Gorge, and although one side is on a provincial park, the development and industry along the other side of the river detracts a little bit from the experience. The falls and the gorge are nice, but they seem a little spoiled and cluttered thanks to the hand of man.

After visiting the park last Saturday along with another family, we decided to check out the Toonie monument. It is located at the Old Mill Park along the majestic Trent-Severn Waterway as its backdrop, so the view is beautiful and the park has lots of picnic benches too.
Free parking is available as well. We walked around and saw the huge toonie which looked beautiful. The city erected a Tonnie that is 27’ tall and 18’ in diameter in recognition of Campbellford artist Brent Townsend who designed the polar bear that was used on the coin.
It is a definite must see if you are around the area. We just stayed for a while and then drove off to explore the area.

We came for just a couple hours but really enjoyed ourselves. The suspension bridge is a must. I wish the fence sides of the bridge weren't so high as they impact photos but safety is important. The river was moving so fast. We enjoyed walking along the ridge and stopping by the falls.
A nice little visit.
Ps. The washrooms by the falls/bridge are awful so I recommend holding it.

First time visit and was not disappointed. I was a little concerned about the heat during the summer in a Barn however, ventilation is excellent. The Show was terrific and have since been to other events which have also been very enjoyable. Picnic on the grounds was great.

Quaint coffeehouse by day , craft beer pub in the afternoons and evening. Showcasing local ingredients on a small pub menu. Meat, Cheese, Bread, and I season veggies all local. Sister pub to Church-Key Brewing Comany offering most styles as well as other Ontario craft beers, wines, ciders and meads.
I've been driving past this building for years, starting when it was a sewing shop, and one evening I decided to stop in and see what it was all about. It was a full house that night - that is to say, there was 20 or so people in there, and it was hot and crowded and very difficult to move around. I did enjoy the Church Key beer selection and the homey atmosphere but if I were to go again I'd make sure it was on a slightly less busy night.

To and from the cottage, we always pass through Campbellford and visit the chocolate factory outlet store and the Church-Key Brewery. We pick up a "growler" of one of the beers on tap, a 650ml bottle of something unusual, plus a six-pack of Northumberland Ale. The Holy Smoke Scotch Ale is unique. The peat smoke makes it one of the most unusual beers you'll ever taste. You can do a $5 tour-and-taste, but, as mentioned by Ottawajester, this is mainly a tiny brewery in an appealing building -- not so much a tour destination.

The museum's collection of a/c are privately owm
ned. All are outside and are non-flyable. A/c are from the 50's into the 70's. Most are in fairly good condition.
The a/c list includes:
50's Canadian Silver Star
WW 11 Trainer
60's CF-100 Canuck
Beechcraft Expedittor Floatplane (fuselage only).
70's CF Feedom Fighter
60 % scale CF-105 Avor Arrow
Sno Bird Tutor
The museum part is one half shed and one half walk throughn building. The second half contains uniforms, medals dating back to the 1880's, warbooks, manuals, rifles, swords, basyonets and a large number of model airplanes.
A complete tour of a/c and museum takes about 45 minutes. Outside is a Korean era Jeep and a 1942 Indian scout motorcycle, used in parades. Also a small number of a/c engines.
Hours are Saturday 10:00-4:00.. Tours are also by appointment . No admission, however donations are appreciated.
Locating the museum on Albert Street off Grand Road/Highway 30 can be a problem, as there is no big museum sign on Grand Road. Albert Street is one block south of a Tim Hortons. GPS is probably the best way of locating the museum.
Although the museum is small, a history of aviation waits for a visitor. I would recommend a visit.

This is a family farm Maple operation. Our past history is highlighted in the Maple Museum located on the old Homestead. Our future is carried on by the 6th & 7th generation on the expanded family Sugar Bush. Maple Syrup, Maple Butter & Sugars are available year round.
When you drive up, there is a moment of discomfort because no one is there at the store to greet you. But, wait a few minutes and the guy comes out. He shows you the equipment he uses to produce the maple syrup. We bought a bottle, but I thought it was on the expensive side.
