We've been here many times usually when visiting friends in Sinnington.
Yet again the food was excellent....Homemade Fish Pie, Belly Pork & Minute Steak this time. All very fresh and of the best quality. All topped off with an excellent pint of Black Sheep. If you are in the area don't miss out!!

Stayed in Pickering for a few days, and decided to try this indian. We had a takeaway, Chicken tikka masala with mushroom rice, chicken tikka balti with pilau rice, Poppadoms and pickle tray and garlic naan. Can honestly say this is one of the best Indians we've ever had. Well tasty.

Cafe and tearoom in the beautiful North York Moors village of Rosedale Abbey. Serving delicious locally sourced homemade food.
Just passing so went in for a light lunch very warm friendly staff and well present food. Enjoyed the real tea not Tea bag (not that there is anything wrong with teabags) it just made a nice change. Lovely selection of cakes and bread well worth a visit if in the area.

On holiday We stopped to look in the farm shop. The produce in the shop was reasonably priced and the sausages where delicious. We went in the cafe which was beautifully decorated and was warm and cosy, lovely latte but cake was very dry as where the scones but otherwise fantastic place. Will visit again

Italian restaurant
We came her for a meal on Saturday night during a recent weekend away in Pickering. The restaurant was very nice and staff were welcoming and friendly. Service was good and there was a great choice on the menu, all at reasonable prices. Food was excellent and really tasty. I would definitely go here again if in the area and would highly recommend

Visited this chip shop for two large fish and one large chips
The fish were okay
The chips well, they were old and either overcooked or reheated
If this was a large chips then I suppose a small one would be onl 3 chips
The price was over£12.60 for this meal which is overpriced
You are better off going to Pappas near Morrisons

Chef's Cafe, Deli and Special Gift store. 30 seats. Owned by the White Swan Inn next door.
On a long weekend to Whitby we stopped at Pickering for lunch on the way. We chose feast as it was dog friendly. Dogs are allowed at the front of the cafe. Food was lovely. We ordered quiche and sausage and cheese bloomer. Both were served quickly and staff were really friendly. There is also a good choice of gifts and beer/gin gifts on sale. We liked it so much we stopped off on our way home for a brew.

Family run, traditional English Tea Rooms offering light bites. Sandwiches, Cream Tea, Afternoon Tea, hot & cold drinks. We also have a bakery shop selling items made in our Whitby bakery.
We ate lunch here having arrived on a steam train from Whitby. This bakery/tearoom is just across the road from the railway station so very handy.
We both enjoyed excellent homemade soup and bread and the Resolution blend tea went down a treat, as did the rather indulgent hot chocolate I treated myself to!
The ladies who served us were friendly and the whole experience was delightful and almost nostalgic.
The prices were very reasonable also.
It is obviously popular as both the bakery counter and the eating area were very busy when we were there and rightfully so in our opinion. Would recommend.

If it’s quaint, quiet English tea and cake you want..... look no further , this place is a real gem. The ploughman’s lunch for the people with a good appetite or the toasted sandwiches for the smaller meal, we’ve been several times and always found the food to be “spot on”
