Bell Park runs alongside a lake and is gently undulating with a variety of pathways.
The Park has many well-situated seats, a large, clean toilet and changing room for both sexes, barbecue areas, a variety of trees and flower beds.
When we visited, there were special flower beds commemorating Canada's 100th birthday.
The lake here was being used by swimmers, sailors and jet skis. Even a life guard was on duty.
Many people were using the park when we visited.
Highly recommended.

Let your imagination soar at Science North! Explore the fun side of science in your everyday life at Northern Ontario's most popular tourist attraction. A newly designed and renovated 3rd floor Northern Ecosystems exhibit gets you up close to our resident beaver, porcupine, skunk and much more! Visit the new nocturnal room and see what flying squirrels and bats do at night! Don't miss live science shows, special exhibits, IMAX(R) 3D, the digital Planetarium, the F. Jean MacLeod Butterfly Gallery, and four floors of interactive science experiences.
Just visited today....and while I suspected that it would be crowded because of Spring Break, little did I realize that with parking fees and entrance fees for 2 people almost $60, it was very hard to enjoy. Not because of the lack of things to do but because of the crowds and rude children who ran around and bullied their way to the front of lines to hold animals or play at the exhibits. There must be a better way so that the customer does not feel that they have wasted their time and money.

Trail is marked with yellow markers. First part to get to the trail is full of large boulders you have to climb over and they can be wet or covered in leaves. Once you get past that, the trail is easy with a little bit of an uphill climb. We didn't take the 1 km loop on the other side of the bridge as it was way too hot that day. A.Y. Jackson painted this area. He was part of the Group of 7.

Erected in 1951, this famous roadside attraction is a monument to the Canadian nickel industry.
This could be the worst mine, and I still would like it. The fact I drove 2 hours to get here while I was somewhere else on vacation means something. Was it better than I thought? YES it was. Was it better than my wife...MoreHello MobiusTraveller, Glad to hear you enjoyed you visit and underground tour. We are always changing and enhancing our exhibits and experiences, your feedback is appreciated. We hope to see you here again soon! Dynamic Earth Staff

Imagine the remote tranquility of a Wilderness setting, a man-made lake and pond, scenic Lookouts, a self-guided nature trail, numerous wetland areas, hiking trails, bird watching areas, and snow shoeing and cross-country ski trails in winter. The Lake Laurentian Conservation Area offers the photographer, nature watcher, and recreationist boundless opportunity to experience the wilds. The Nature Chalet is open on weekdays from 8:30-4:00.
I hike here during the summer, and snow shoe during the winter. Both are very enjoyable and I would recommend this to anyone. There are multiple different trails with different lengths for people who want short or long hikes.
I have tried mountain biking and it is possible, but more advanced because of all the rocky sections. There are lots of better trails for biking around town.

Located in the railway town of Capreol, the museum is a must see destination for any history buff. Home to a unique collection of rail history, the collection is highlighted by retired CN steam locomotive #6077. The museum house, a former home belonging to the local railway superintendent, boasts an impressive collection of artifacts related to the lumber and mining industries. The museum's Heritage Centre, located in the town's former Fire Hall and Police Station sheds light on the regions social history.
A visit whilst in the Sudbury area. Unfortunately it was the end of the season and the small Museum was closed. We did mangage to walk around the outside of the site and view some of the collection. The area close to the Museum seemed to be well maintained. Not so in the far corner adjacent to the spur line which was a bit of a mess.
Probably best to visit in season.

Lots of things to look at and beautiful to walk around. Great place to swim and picnic. This is my favourite place to visit when I come up here. You can walk from the park to Science North along a boardwalk beside the lake

Stayed there for 2 nights during the September Labour Day long weekend.
Our site (#8) was quite private with trees surrounding it. The washrooms seemed to be well kept (by #1).
However - there are train tracks very close by which woke us up several times (at least 4x) throughout the night, blaring its horn, and we did not get much sleep.
Also, we bought 2 bags of firewood, and did not receive a receipt. It appeared dry on the outside, but upon cutting it in half with the axe, we discovered that the wood was wet inside. As such, it would not burn when we attempted to make a fire. The gate house was closed, there was a sign on the door saying contact the actual park office. Contacted the park office which was also closed. We had company come just to visit from 45 minutes drive away just for a bonfire. They got there, and were not able to enjoy one with us after all and made the drive for nothing. Tried to see the staff when they returned to get money back, and they said they could not do refunds. We were under the impression we were not allowed to bring in wood from outside the park (they after-the-fact told us it could come from Sudbury but not south Ontario), but if they make you buy bad wood that will not burn for a campfire and then will not reimburse you what you paid for it, it seems like a money scam. Very frustrating.

Lots of trails to walk along that are great for walkers of all capabilities. Wide paths for strollers, wheelchairs etc for most of the area. Beautiful places to sit and watch birds. In the winter months there are good samaritans who come out almost daily to ensure there is bird seed for the chickadee populations in the area.

It was full of beautiful sculptures and conveniently located in town. It may take about 30 mins to see the full park but it has a great view of the international bridge and was a great place to visit.
