Great venue, The Empire Theatre, for Belleville's Commodores' Orchestra and Freddy Vette show. Excellent combination of big band (swing) sounds and Freddy's rocl and roll. Comfortable seats (complimentary cushions also available), great view, even from the back of the orchestra Seating, great sound system. Accessible entrance then stairs. Not sure if ramps in another section.

Zwick's Island is a venue for a number of events every summer, which are fun but our greatest pleasure comes from walking the trail. It is well maintained and covers both sides of the park. It is peaceful, with lots of ducks, swans and it even has its resident osprey and blue heron. The park has a wonderful playground for children and a leash free dog park. It is one of Belleville's best attractions.

Discover Belleville's Treasure: Glanmore National Historic Site. This grand Victorian mansion was built in 1883 for prominent Belleville Banker John Philpot Curran Phillips and his wife Harriet. Glanmore was designated a National Historic Site for its exceptional 2nd Empire style architecture. The historic house has had extensive restoration. The museum exhibits artifacts original to the historic house as well as fine art and decorative objects from the Couldery collection and artifacts that are significant to local history from the Regional collection. The museum is open-year round.
Took my 8 year old son with hubby and we all had a nice time. Reasonable $. The lady that worked there was super friendly and informative. She gave our son a scavenger hunt sheet of paper to look around with. He really enjoyed it. Lots of information posted around. You have access to the basement, main and 2nd floor, unfortunately the 3rd floor attic is blocked off. From the outside that looks like a neat place to explore, maybe in the future they will open it. Overall we had fun.

Ontario's oldest natural cavern. Offering guided tours and knowledgeable staff. Open from Victoria Day until Labour Day. Beautiful setting on 60 acres with nature trails and open fields.
To realize that one man transformed this property into a tourist attraction is OUTSTANDING!
Pretty sure I have never/will never be dedicated to a project like that in my life?
Thank you for putting this together and doing a great job of sustaining history.
The tour guides are great, you guys have everything organized perfectly and I wish you lots of success!
Definitely worth the drive and cost of admission!

This place is great for either a short walk, or to spend an entire afternoon. I especially enjoy walking along the Moira River in the north end of the conservation area. Fall colours in that area were stunning during my visit. Generally speaking though, this area is beautiful, so have your camera ready.

Being city dwellers, my partner and I relish the opportunity to get out in nature and enjoy a brisk walk and some solitude. Vandrwater is absolutely lovely, not too busy and had so many different places to stop and chill out. The river rapids are beautiful and right next to a pond surrounded by what looks like the surface of the moon. This would be a beautiful place for a picnic (remember to throw out your trash!).

Belleville may not be the fastest growing comunity, but it sure is quaint compared to bigger cities.
Love the city hall and downtown area. Lots of architecture and history to see including a revamped and beautiful theatre with great live Performances from rock superstars to plays and muses.
Great farmer's market with unique items and the new Court House and Library are architectural wonders for the eye.
A great place to live and bring up a Family.

The home base for Quinte Conservation, this area offers an abundance of recreational opportunities. Trails wind through this former farm, past fragrant orchards, open meadows and scenic woodlands. Hikers, bikers and cross country skiers will find the trails to be inspiring and diversified.
My son and I hiked the area as a starter hike which is pretty much what this is. Trails are well kept (very soggy this year and anytime there is ample rain) but there are limited views really. It runs astride busy Wallbridge Loyalist road and train tracks. There is a nice area by a small river with a view from atop elevated ground.
Good for a shorter weekend stroll versus a real hike.
