I am sure everyone in Fort McMurray is aware of this place, as it is an attraction for school kids, across the age range.
The place does a decent job at explaining how oilsands are converted into usable crude or fuel.
The large truck could be a bit more realistic and the driving screen needs to be updated.

Aboriginal Interpretive Trail

Reviewed By Lancastrians16 - UK

We found this 1100 metre trail by chance during a stroll on McDonald Island. A year ago the local community commissioned 7 sculptures to represent the key values of the First Nation and Metis communities. Locals then provided numerous representations in artistic but appropriate form of the Silver Fox which is indigenous to the area. The artwork and sculptures are of a high standard.
The trail, which in part follows the river, with scenic views is well maintained with a choice of paths to follow which have gentle gradients. Helpful information and displays explain each value and a dedication is beside each fox.
A very moving and interesting tribute to the aboriginal culture which has deep roots in Wood Buffalo.
