All it took was one bite of a burger and I knew it had to go in the garbage. You would think a restaurant called the Burger Bar would serve fresh ground beef patties. The burger served here are the ones you buy in an ugly box In the frozen section at a discount grocery store. All it took was one bite and I knew I was eating poor quality cheap food. The restaurant and eating area were dirty. There was what looked like a homeless person sleeping at one of the tables that is meant to eat on outside. I went to this restaurant with a friend who's food standards aren't quite as high as mine and usually he will eat anything that is served to him. He did managed to eat half of his burger before throwing it in the garbage as well. He also ordered onion rings and only ate a couple of those because they were so greasy and cook in old fat that tasted like it hadn't been changed in a very long time. The staff that I engaged were all friendly and gave good service. The location of this restaurant is very good and I really hoped that I found a great place between Edmonton and Fort McMurray to have a yummy lunch. Unfortunately this is some of the worst food I've ever been served in a restaurant ever. I recommend you stay away from this place.

Restaurant advertising Saturday kitchen 11.30 to 8PM.
Arrived around 5PM and were told that the kitchen has a meeting and it would be about 10 minutes delay.
We accepted and stayed. After 15 minutes of waiting we were offered that we could have some deep fried appetizers. And the waitress offered to cook for us.
We said ok and ordered wings. They were acceptable.
Another 15 to 20 minutes went by and we tried to order our main course.
Only to find out that the Chef is still not available or still meeting with the boss.
Needless to say that after nearly an hour of waiting and patience we left hungry and disappointed.
It actually looked like there was no chef available or at the site at all. The waitress tried to cover this up as good as possible.
Will not be back.

Stopped in here for lunch while in Athabasca yesterday. The two of us shared a huge bowl of war won ton. Superb value - lots of dumplings, veggies and some shrimp. Couldn't finish it all so took the rest home for supper. Speedy and friendly service and the prices are excellent.
Please note - the photo showing the Super 8 has nothing to do with this restaurant - it is in an entirely different place - on the main road and downtown.

We dined here for the first time tonight and had a fantastic meal! Everything was fresh and very flavourful. We had chicken and pork souvlaki and Greek ribs to start. Our plates had generous portions of salad, rice or baked potato and a generous skewer of meat. We live over 2 hours away and would drive to Athabasca just to dine here next time!

The Fox Den Restaurant is open 7 days a week seasonally starting in early April until mid to late October. During the off season catering services are available as well as facility rentals for gatherings up to 70 people. Great facility to host your company training seminar or Christmas party.
A great place to eat. On a hill overlooking the course. Amazing views. Went on a rainy day so no golfers around. Great service. I had the ribs they were good. I can't say great they were great because we come from the land of...MoreLooking forward to seeing you next time. Thanks for the review!

If your looking for something greasy, like a burger or fries, this is where you go.
I wanted something relatively healthy, so I had the Chicken Donair ($9.00), because it was made with chicken breast. I also chose Tzaziki sauce instead of garlic sauce.
This was one of the worst donairs of any kind I have had. The Chicken was pre cooked and refrigerated, then heated on a grill. The Chicken was dry and tough. The Tzaziki sauce was very bland. The veggies looked like they needed to be revived. I was not impressed.
The prices here were on the high side and the service was mediocre.

Popped into Neighbours yesterday to find a total renovation of staff, service and menu. If you are looking for a top notch sports pub with great portions at reasonable prices, this is for you. Swing by on happy hour for a pitcher of beer and wings. Hit the jukebox and rip some classic rock or come to one of the various events such as open mic nights, karaoke and paint night. Friendly staff and super awesome local folks.

Sure it might get boring eating at any Boston Pizza, because the menu is the same, but at least they are relatively consistent. I tried the Big Dipper with Salad on the side at this location. It's basically a Beef Dip with red peppers, cheese...MoreThanks for taking the time to leave a review, NoshTraveller. We hope to see you again soon!
