The 10 Best Things to Do in Playa de las Americas, Spain

September 18, 2017 Yuk Petri

Playa de las Americas, near Tenerife's southwestern tip, is a lively, upbeat resort built in the 1960s. Today it's crammed with British restaurants, bars and hotels and North European tourists. Its white sands attract hordes of sun worshippers, while nearby El Medano is famed for its windsurfing. Top attractions include sailing, golf and dinner theater shows, but it's the nightlife on Veronica's Strip that is the top draw for the crowds of young tourists who flock here to party around the clock.

This Park is awesome and caters for all ages, the rides are anything between gentle meanders and hair raising high speed slides in the dark or under sharks. Food is a little over priced but the park is fantastic

Walking along the front with its nicely kept Gardens and noting how clean everything is, was certainly relaxing. As you go further the find many little cafes with there own "rooper". inviting you to come in and sit down for a drink and something to eat, which we did. Here again you can watch the world go by as you gaze across the beach, doing absolutely nothing, but working very hard to achieve it

Troya Beach

Reviewed By Lorah G - New Hampshire

We rented a condo near Playa de las Americas, but during one of our evening walks around the area, we stumbled onto Playas de Troya. This beach is much quieter than the rest of the Beaches in the area, especially at night. It's great for photos, and perfect for an evening stroll before or after dinner, given that it's close to a multitude of restaurants that have amazing ocean views.
