This is an excellent pub with a convivial, friendly atmosphere. It is genuinely welcoming and also scrupulously clean. They do a great pub quiz on a Friday night that we often go to - it always great fun.
Today, we took my mum and mother in law for Sunday lunch - the meal today was better than ever. My mum had the Turkey dinner and Yorkshire pudding - it was perfect. My mother in law had the lamb pie - they do amazing pies and today’s was better than ever. Fantastic gravy too. Normally, we have their signature fish and chips - these are the best I have tasted Perfectly crispy batter and a large piece of white, amazingly fresh fish. My other favourite is their monkfish curry - this is AMAZING! Today, the goats cheese starter and duck spring rolls were just top class. The custard cream cheese cake was delicious.
This pub is really well managed and the food and service is consistent. It is very popular and you usually have to book in advance. Well recommended.

The starter of scallops and prawns was well complemented with the mild curry dressing. However three of party had some very sinuous parts to them and this detracted from the eating experience.
They had run out of Halibut so second choice of fillet steak selected and could not fault the preparation.

Great food in a lovely ambience. Went to Mezzaluna with a group of friends and had a great night. We all ate different dishes on the menu and everyone was pleased with their choice. Staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Would deffo go here again.

We were recommended this restaurant by friend, however Quite disappointed we had good day until we ate here, we order lobster ravioli and after that We was really sick, well the place was ok but services very slow even need almost one hour to take coke and water. Well at the end they give free drink as a compliment to not get upset, but really need almost 2 hours to get our food.

First time visit for us but our friends had been before. The service was excellent with chatty staff.
The food was ok. The mussels were delicious with bread to mop up the sauce. My wife's garlic mushrooms were a little disappointing but our friends' starters were thoroughly enjoyed.
I tried risotto and wasn't keen but I think that was just my personal taste. Lasagne was good and meatballs and spaghetti ok. The garlic bread was really good.
I would definitely give this place another go but play it safer with my choice of main.
Well worth a visit.

We have been looking for a good curry restaurant since our favourite closed over a year ago. Between us we have tried a few without much success ! I read the reviews of Alams on TA and decided to give it a try last night. Although it was a mid week evening I booked and we arrived at 7pm to a warm welcome. Liked the decor of the place and we had taken beer for the guys as we knew it was not licensed . The four of us chose different mains after sharing mixed kebab starter which was very tasty. King Prawn dhansak, chicken bhuna and Jaipuri chicken and I had Arabian mutton ( very brave for me ! ). ...they were all delicious and mine was a revelation, tender meat and a lovely tasty sauce. We all had different rice sides and those and the naans were excellent too. The only downside was that we couldnt make a longer night of it and so had no room for desserts..the menu looks divine ! Service was spot on and the manager came and spoke to us to check all was fine,
By 830 the place was three quarters full , a sure sign of its popularity. We will definitely return to try more new dishes and those desserts! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Award winning farm shop and restaurant with a full Butchery, Bakery and delicatessen counter. During the day we offer cafe/restaurant meals, the restaurant stops serving at 3:15pm Tuesday - Friday and 3pm Saturday.
Very impressed with the clean and inviting eating area, some good friendly service and a nice selection of easy to prepare snacks. The presentation was a major plus point it gives the impression that it was prepared by people who care. I had a quesillida which was enjoyable as was the leftover piece of sticky Vietnamese bun. Very impressed!

Once again the food here was top notch. The service excellent as usual. The only reason I have given a score of 4 instead of 5 is that the restaurant was exceptionally cold. That cold that some people were eating with their coats on as were we. Will visit again because of the food and service but hope it is warmer.
