The Sea Caves of Cape Palinuro are the main attraction of the area. You can visit with boats leaving from the harbor of Palinuro. The tour includes the famous Blue Grotto, the Cave of Blood, the Sulfur Grotto and the Cave of the Monks. Finally, will be a stop at the Bay of Good Sleep for a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the bay.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, lush vegetation, crystal clear waters and a coast stretching for 100 km:
The Blue Grotto
Is the cave most known to tourists and the easiest to get by boat, just outside the harbor of Palinuro, and is therefore the most visited, also thanks to the spectacular play of light that can be seen on the surface of the water, which magically, especially at certain times of the day, is colored by an intense blue. The maximum depth of the cave is 33 metres.
To reach it you can catch a small boat which departs from the port of Palinuro and which may also include the possibility of excursions to discover the caves of Capo Palinuro like this one, the Blue Grotto. Current charge is €15 p.p.for a 90 minute boat ride.

From the port of Palinuro is possible to take the Beach Shuttle, which can easily reach the Bay of Buondormire, otherwise inaccessible to most. After departure, expected in the morning, the boat reaches the shore of the Bay of Buondormire and here it is left for subsequent re-embarked in the afternoon to return to port. On the beach of Buondormire not present any kind of organized beach service, so customers are given the opportunity to bring their beach gear like umbrellas, among other things, highly recommended. On the beach there, but only during the summer, a small bar where you can refresh during the stop. The service is subject to various limitations, we recommend that the customers inquire about the weather conditions at the ticket office, or telephone the staff for more information.
eat and drink at the beach cafe but relax and feel secluded. until a boat tour comes along.. you do still feel even when busy that your not being trampled on while trying to relax like some places.. all in all a lovely spot to chill out.

Marinella Lido was born in the famous Bay Buondormire, located in Palinuro. From here you can reach various destinations, Buondormire, the Natural Arch, the Scoglio del Coniglio, the sulfur caves, the Grotta Azzurra and many others. Behind the beach, in the shade of mulberry trees there is a kiosk where he could retire to enjoy meals Cilento. Surrounded by nature Marinella Lido is a place where it's worth going.
The restaurant is terrible. Plastic plates etc v boring undercooked basic food and the worst white wine in a plastic cup. Ahhhhh!

My friends and I walked from our Hotel to Arco Naturale di Palinuro (roughly 4 Km.) with such a wonderful views and we were seated on the beach looking at a very clear water. We all togheter had understood why Ulisse loved to navigate in that sea approaching the Marmaids Cove

Well worth a stop if you are passing by/through Palinuro. No entry fee, but a donation is expected. The staff person there provided us with a small explanation of key artifacts in the collection (he only spoke Italian).
