When we pulled up in front of the restaurant, my husband expressed doubt about the setting. But the inside is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And when we saw the courses being delivered to other guests, we regretted that we had eaten a big breakfast and couldn't manage a secondi and dessert. Great food, great value. We made an unplanned stop enroute between Matera and Rome. This place is worth a special return trip.

I found this restaurant during July 2016. What a nice surprice! It is an old local restaurant. They have an outdoor terace and inside room too. The food it is so so good. You have to try the local food and the red wine. I ate fileto di manzo con tartufo. It was perfect.

We ate there on a drive through Italy for lunch. My wife says it is the single best gnocci she has ever had, and we've had it in a lot of countries and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again and the people were super nice and very interesting. The owner was a famous cyclist and the number of trophies on the wall is amazing. We took our young kids and they loved it too. Clean bathrooms also! Go! you won't be disappointed.

Excellent pasta, hand-made by the matriarch of this lovely, family-owned restaurant. My wife and I split the strascinati cacioricotta e crusc'k (a broad, flat local pasta with cheese and dried peppers) and another pasta dish with funghi and tartufo. Both were delicious. Good, cheap house wine (aliagnico) and warm, witty conversation with Rocco, whose English is better than our Italian. Unforgettable evening!

Our dishes are born from the selection of fresh and quality ingredients. The simplicity of their preparation is typical of the Lucan tradition. The used products are 100% organic, from small suppliers scattered in the province of Potenza. The quality / price is essential for customers. Making good food affordable is today very difficult, but not for us. Come and enjoy the strascinati, the orecchiette, the manate, the lagane. Our pasta is handmade. Try also our meats, from podolica to the pork with the peppers. We are open for both lunch and dinner, from Monday to Saturday. Reservations are recommended.
The place is full of tradition and the plates are of very good quality. I was here with some friends of mine and i really apprecciate the place and quality of environment. The boss is of friendly shape. Suggested

A presto, Prosit e Serenita!
Superb dining experience at Cibo in Potenza. First stopped in for a late lunch, which was so good that the group I was with decided to come back for dinner, even though the restaurant is not in the most convenient location well outside the town centre. That said it was (and in future is) worth the effort. The menu is smallish, but the emphasis is quality over quantity and local produce. Also, we were very well looked after by the owner, Peppone, who was a fantastic host and was extremely helpful in explaining the menu. All in all a great experience and couldn't recommend more highly. Oh, and they do a great cup of tea.

Nice food (pizza is really tasty) mixed with great music and fair price. Highly recommended I will visit it again sooner.

Wonderful all the way. Traveling for a month...tired and hard to please now...came here by accident and had one of the best dinners. Chef's choice...blind primo and second dishes....impeccable. Dessert super! Baba and cannoli siciliano....la cerise sur le gateau !

Mister cut and not cut but only Florentine lava stone grill, fillet, entrecote, , vegetarian menu, desserts and first craft.
Tonight we had an amazing dinner of local risotto, beef with mushrooms and chicken with rosemary. The local wine was wonderful and the desserts of warm cake with pistachio gelato or apples was wonderful. Presentation was great.
