We have visited Don Alfonso and stayed in the Beautifull suite for two nights. From the beginning until the end of our stay-nothing else but perfect. We met the whole family who is taking care for a beautifull house and excellent restaurant. We had an unforgetable dinner, tried the degustation menu and traditional menu and enjoyed every bit of it. They showed us their unique wine cellar with more than 28 000 bottles. Compliments to family and staff. Don Alfonso is certainly the place to visit before you die.

From the moment we walked into this restaurant till the moment we left, it was sheer delight and a feeling of total pleasure. The position of the restaurant is amazing, the service is fantastic the food is superb. Is there anything else to say?
Having eaten in many good & outstanding (and the occasional disappointing and terrible) it is not so easy to find a new place which leaves you speechless. This was one of these evenings.

This spot is excellent! We loved our coffee and pastries and we noticed beautiful desserts too. This is an excellent place for a traditional Italian breakfast.

Thanks to the passion, perseverence and the complete dedication from Salvatore Criscuolo, better known as "O Capo" and his lovely unforgotten wife Teresa, the Polisportiva, renamed in "Le Bonta del Capo" is today one of the most popular and appreciated restaurants on the Amalfi Coast. Located in a privileged position, the location appears to be disputed between the intensiv blue of the sea and the brightness of the sky, nestled between lush harmonies of terraced olive groves, vineyards and lemontrees. On the Terrace of Donna Teresa, where you have during the sunset the unique feeling to be untited with the horizon, where a deep red paint the nearby island of "Li Galli", directly in front of the "Faraglioni" of the flirtatious Capri, here you will find you enjoying the delicious regional cuisine accompanied by the finest wines of the coast of Amalfi and Sorrento. The timeless pizza contribute to give you a greater sense of being welcome and of the hospitality of Naples. As a reward for your appearance, you will be certainly attracted by the nearby "Punta Vreca", a breathtaking viewpoint in form of a ship overtopped with the tower "Capo del Conca", a natural ancient harbour, a defense post with vice-regal watchtower, designed to curb the invasions of the pirates from the seaside. Surely you do not pass unnoticed a quiet harmonious way in the nearby of the restaurant, which is called "Cinque Essence", meaning for San Alfonso Maria de' Liguori, who named this way during his walks from the monastery Santa Rosa. The monastery is a holy place and the birthplace of the famous and popular puff pastry cake Santa Rosa. Surrounded by olive, carob, pomegranate, grapes and lemon the bishop was inspired to call it "Cinque Essence". For those who love the sport, there is above the restaurant the possibility to use one of the two multi-purpose courts with artifical turf for football, tennis or volleyball. Also with a playground and entertainment games for the smaller of us. We are waiting for you, here in Conca dei Marini, where we have "In each window the sun and out each window the sea.
Daniele di Palma with with Wine Tour Amalfi Coast arranged a most special afternoon with Chef Fiore for us. Chef guided us through a tour of his personal vineyard and lemon garden. He then walked with us to his restaurant and while sampling the grapes we had just picked reviewed some of the history of the area. It was truly like a dream! Once there he conducted a Limoncello making class for us! It was so much fun and gave us confidence to try it at home! This was all followed by a divine meal with an artful presentation, wonderful wine and a view that can't be matched anywhere else. Chef Fiore is warm, humorous and has a fantastic presence. He truly cares about his customers, the restaurant and his community. I highly recommend you put this on your list of "must do's" when you are in the Amalfi area. You will enjoy the beautiful drive to Conca dei Marini. It was certainly our favorite day on the coast. Many thanks to Chef Fiore and Daniele for making this an unforgettable experience for us!

The restaurant "Il Fienile" is located in Massa Lubrense, near Sant'Agata sui due golfi. Inaugurated in June 2012 after having restructured an old barn of family. Surrounded by nature and overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, is the perfect location for a dining experience full of healthy eating and relaxation. Fruits and vegetables directly from the garden, fresh fish of the sea and local meats cooked with wisdom and creative chef Luigi, also master of hand-made pasta and desserts. We also produce olive oil, wine and some digestive as blueberry, limoncello and finocchietto. Do not hesitate to satisfy special dietary requirements (vegetarian, celiac or any personal preference).
A fair trip to get there unless staying local and a very steep driveway however once you're there what an experience!
We arrived just before sunset to appreciate the views... glad we did as they were pretty special.
The welcome from this family run restaurant was the best we've received all trip. Dad and sons front of house Mum in the kitchen.
One son had worked in London for a few years and all their English was very good.
House wine made by Dad, try it, we thought it was a bit too 'yellow' for us and not light enough but it was delicious!
All the food was amazing and great care and love put into it.
Between us we had carpaccio of beef, seafood pasta, beef fillet, mussels in pepper sauce, clams, mixed grill.... everything was lovely.
As the other reviews say, if you're staying local they'll pick you up. If the driveway's a bit steep they'll park the car for you.
Make the effort, this is a top restaurant in more ways than one!

After visiting Pompeii and on our way to Salerno we stopped for a pizza and tasted probably the best Pizza during our 10 days Italy tour (This is actually our kid's verdict at the end of the tour).
Person who is making the pizza is so very friendly, warm and cheerful. Probably that reflect in the pizza he made too. If you are going for dinner then there is a land across the small street you can park (not sure during the daytime). Place is close to Pompeii and seems very popular among locals/regulars as so many locals were there.
