Auckland's Sky Tower is the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, this tower is more than 300 metres high. Offering stunning views, along with award winning restaurants, a gift shop and an opportunity to push your limits by walking the outside of the viewing platforms, or by jumping off from 192 metres above Auckland's CBD.
The Sky Tower was a great experience. The lifts were readily available and quick. The glass panel in the floor was a good touch. The views from the viewing platforms were superb. They keep you informed when and if there is anyboby going to do the jump. We were fortunate and got a couple of great shots of someone in mid air. Noit overly expensive and well worth a visit.

This park is set on a hillside, and is basically a life-size walk-through version of the boardgame of Snakes & Ladders! It is complete with a giant set of "dice" at the bottom, with numbered steps, ladders, and tube slides all the way to the finish. Really great way to enjoy a sunny afternoon with the kids! Very entertaining. And totally FREE!!

It's fun on demand at Rainbow's End so how will you play it? With over 20 rides and attractions, there's something for everyone. Try out the brand new AA Driver’s Town! This is an amazing attraction for children up to 12 years old where kids are be able to get behind the wheel in miniature Suzuki Swift vehicles and try out their driving skills in a miniature town. From thrill rides like Stratosfear, Fearfall and Power Surge to family fun on the Log Flume, Bumper Boats and Karts there is something everyone will enjoy. Kidz Kingdom is also at Rainbow’s End and is especially for kids 8 years and under. There are lots of rides for kids and the whole area is fully covered so it’s a perfect place to visit rain or shine. Rainbow's End offers great value for money as you only pay one entry price which covers all your rides as many times as you like! Located only 20 minutes drive from the CBD with lots of free parking. See you soon at Rainbow's End! Open every day except Christmas Day.

I had never been deep sea fishing before, it was amazing! Marcus our skipper taught us everything we needed to know! We caught fish almost right away! Everyone on our boat caught the limit! Marcus even took our fish to the local restaurant so we could enjoy it being we were staying in hotel. We were down under for 12 days and this by far was the highlight of our trip! We have memories that my father and I will share for a lifetime! I want to go back to NZ just to fish. Even though my tummy got a little upset the guys on the boat never gave me a hard time about it! Said it was my right of passage. If you do one thing in Auckland, make it this!!!! You will NOT regret it!

Magic Broomstick Segway Tours is an absolute "Must do" while you are in Auckland. This activity is fun and exciting and just a little out of the ordinary as you experience the unique sensation of riding a Segway. We first teach you the art of riding then you're off on a tour or short ride. Gliding to the summit of Mt. Victoria or North Head, Devonport's volcanic cones, where you can checkout the Military fort's of the 1880's and be gob-smacked by the awesome views of Auckland city and the Hauraki Gulf is suitable for those over 13 years of age. If you would like a shorter ride we have a "Taste" of Segway which takes in the Beaches and Victorian Villa's of Devonport. If you have a 10 year old in your group you can still experience the awesome Segway as we have a FUN Family ride especially for you.
We LOVE segways and the moment we stepped off the ferry from Auckland and spotted the segways, we knew we had to do it. Our plan was to visit Mt Victoria and this was a great way to do it. Adam was our guide and I was so happy that we fit into their schedule since we didn’t have a reservation. We were the only ones on the tour and it was great. It was a warm day and you could see it on the faces of the people walking up the hill. Adam did a great job and also gave us a great reference for lunch. Would highly recommend!!!!!

You've made the decision to visit New Zealand for a once in a lifetime holiday - our aim is to make that a reality. Relaxing Journeys is New Zealand owned and operated, offering a broader range of New Zealand tours than anyone else in the country (over 500 NZ tours), and the tour operators we work with are the very best in their field.
This company is just a middleman for selling tours in NZ. I had booked Arthur's Pass Transalpine train journey through Relaxing Journeys which was then outsourced to Canterbury Trails tours. Unlike a lot of other tour operators neither Relaxing Journeys nor their operators offer alternatives for a crappy weather day - the only option was to bail out (and pay full fees) or go in rainy weather with no views, no hikes & feeling cold and wet the entire day of the tour.
The tour started with an operator Peter arriving at my hotel with wrong info. When I approached him, he waved me off saying that he was waiting for a couple instead. Turned out that the couple had bailed out due to weather but due to some miscommunication he thought that he had to wait for them & not me. We wasted 15-20 mins to sort this out. I don't understand why he didn't look through his portfolio of papers, he had my info nevertheless. So unprofessional!!
Next, he dropped me to the railway station. The train ride was super boring in rains with no views. I got off at Arthur's pass station & we drove in pouring rain to Devils' punchbowl to hike in wet weather for ~45 mins. It wasnt any fun. Next, we stopped for lunch & then had to skip couple of hikes (Castle Rock & Caves) due to inclement weather. During the drive back to Christchurch, the wind & rains were so bad that our vehicle shook multiple times on the road. It was totally unsafe & uncool.
I cannot fathom, why these operators do not allow to switch to another day or refund the fees. I had two other operators at Frank Josef & Lake Tekapo who, due to bad weather, provided me alternative tours & also an option to take a refund.
I do NOT recommend either Relaxing Journeys or Canterbury Trails. They dont want to cancel the tour so they dont lose money but dont care if you have a crappy day instead.

On an island renowned for its hiking, one of the appeals of Mt Wellington is its accessiblity for people with mobility issues. Mt Wellington is paved right up to its peak and so is easily accessible by 2WD car. Short walkways to lookout points at the top of the mountain give wonderful views across the Tasmanian coast. The ease of access means 100% Instagrammable scenery with 0% effort!
For those a bit more active, you can rent bikes from the summit and freewheel down, or if you fancy losing the use of your legs for a few days you can cycle right up to the top on a road bike.
