Open all year long. Visits, Restaurant, Wines, Concerts...
The abbey is touted (sorry, advertised) widely as one of the top tourist attractions in the area, so, to be honest, my expectation wasn't too high. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything about the place is very well presented and, obviously, a lot of effort...MoreDear soul_man_dave, thanks for your visit and your commentary. Next time you have to test our english audio-guide, now also available with a special 'kids' app ! Kind regards,

Estate on the terroir of La Clape. We are located at the entrance of Vinassan. We propose visits of the vines and the winery with a tasting. You can make a reservation to eat at our winemaker table.
We have enjoyed the wines of Sarrat de Goundy for many years and visit every time we come to Narbonne/Armissan. Now in addition to a shop featuring his wines along with food items from the area, the proprietor offers a fixed-price dinner several nights each...MoreThank you very much for your positive comment, we appreciate your interest about abou our "Table". We are looking forward to see you again. Best regards.

As it was a very hot day we fancied a quick and easy excursion. This certainly fitted the bill. It was quite busy and rather than wait for a smaller boat, the 4 of us hired a 7-seater for 32 euros/hour, 5 euros more than a 5 seater. The boats are very easy to drive and are virtually noise-less. They have pull up canopies to protect from the sun. The route is a long winding loop through the marsh, with high reed banks. They have pictures of the wildlife around the route, but we saw only little egrets and ducks. Still a very pleasant sojourn, and very quick access from j27 of the A9 Narbonne centre. Service was jolly and helpful, with attempts at English after our attempts at French!

Yes,its in a pretty building but the contents are not that great. Compared to the better wines of France those from Ventenac, Corbiere and Minervois are still poor. I first came here in 1978 when they did not have AOC status. We paid euros 8.50 for a bottle of rose when Cotes de Duras rose is half the price and three times the quality. Yet surprisingly a lot of British holidaying in the area think draft red in a cubitainer at £1 a litre is terrific. They should go to Bergerac or Bordeaux.

Great place to browse and chat to the people who actually produce the food. Very traditional. Building has been nicely restored to preserve its charm. Busy with locals + visitors.

Very interesting place as the Cathedral remains unfinished. Therefore the volumes are very interesting and it looks very weird specially when you are inside. I also like the cloister very much and the gargoyles are fascinating, this is leading to the archbishop garden whitch is also worth a visit to relax a little bit and to see the solar Fountain. This is also linked to the archbishop palace with is now used as the town hall...

This is probably about the 6th time we have visited this park and were not disappointed. Right on the beach with excellent facilities. Our 10 year old loves this place, she's never out of the water. Great café bar, toilets and changing facilities. I like it because lots of sunbeds and parasols to choose from and can go and have a walk along the seafront.

We were in Toulouse in last Christmas and visited Narbounne after seeing Carcassion. We reached Carcassion on our Day 4 by train. We took 08-15am train and reached at Carcassion station at 9-25am. It was 70 mins journey from Toulouse Matabieu rail station and the fare was about £10 per head. After Medieval city visit, we came back to the station, took train at 1-27pm to Narbonne(30 mins £9 per head) and reached at about 1-40pm.
The old city is about 15 mins walking. We came out of station, went 5 mins on right and then took the left turn for the old city. At the centre, Archbishop’s Palace was located. This is the France’s second most monumental building after Avignon. We went inside, there was a beautiful courtyard and museums. Outside, there were plenty of sitting places and a lively place with lots of music and Concerts were in place.
Since it was Christmas, there was a very big Christmas tree.
Overall, we enjoyed this lively place.
