A small friendly family-run restaurant under new ownership since May 2017. We serve fresh French cuisine with a British gastropub twist, using seasonal fresh ingredients: fish and chips, children's menu, Sunday brunch and regular daily menus. Air-conditioned inside dining or Terrace Seating.
Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely lunch at this Darling restaurant - menu, food, helpful staff (they speak English!) on a nice side street in Narbonne. Daniel and his staff could not have been more attentive and pleasant. And the menu selection was a pleasant change, my...MoreAhh Karen, thank you so much for the visit and if your in Narbonne again come and have a full English with us :-)

Stylish, classy and exuberant. The food is lovingly presented and delicious. The service is absolutely faultless. The staff are super professional, groomed, attentive and yet totally unobtrusive.
Whilst the food is exquisite the cutlery and crockery are divine. See photos attached.
The location is awful but once you are inside you would never know....
Recommended.

Situated on the main boulevard overlooking the canal that passes through the centre of the town this restaurant has an Italian bias, regardless of its name. We ate the plat de jour... An escalope itallienne, beautifully prepared. We each chose a dessert from the carte. Tarte fromboise, café gourmand...service was friendly and efficient. It proved to be a very good lunch. Not cheap but certainly acceptable.

The restaurant Les Grands Buffets is the perfect match between a prestigious table of tradition with a eat-all-you-can buffet. You are invited to a real self-service banquet where you can find all the traditional dishes of a feast meal: six varieties of foie gras (regular, or with salt, or with pepper, or with basque chili, or with muscat of Rivesaltes and in crème brûlée), oysters, smoked salmon, lobster à l'américaine, spit roasted Pyrenean suckling lamb and suckling pig, tournedos with foie gras, cassoulet with duck confit, a collection of 45 cheeses and more than 50 home-made pastries between the most emblematic of a feast meal (rum baba, paris-brest, black forest, ...) for a unique price of 35,90€. The menu is free for children under 6 and half-price for 6 to 10 years-old. The restaurant Les Grands Buffets propose all the 70 wines served by the glass. The bottles served at the table are at the cellar's price
For our wedding anniversary we chose to have dinner at Les Grands Buffets at Narbonne. I was impressed and disappointed at the same time. The buffets are impressive and for 33 euro you have access to the huge variety of food that France offers. Booking is recommended. We got an outdoor table in 'Le Jardin', very romantic and cosy but also a bit cold as it was October.
You get appointed a waiter who shows you around if you are there for the first time and a wine waiter when you are seated. The wines are good and are all available by the glass.
What did not impress me was the idea of so much food to your disposal and the way a buffet looks after an army of people have tucked into it. When I got to the main courses under the silver cloches, most of the serving dishes were almost empty and what was left looked unappetising. I did not order meat or fish cooked to order as the cues were huge and it reminded me of a take-away food counter. Also every time we ordered a wine to go with a dish it came after we had almost finished our plate.
It was an experience and an opportunity to taste that many foods for a modest price but I would not rave about it. The location does not help either. It is 15 minutes walk from the centre of Narbonne and located next to a Bowling centre. It is maybe just not my kind of thing and my immediate and honest impression is quantity before quality.

We came out of the market and saw the outside tables were already filled; however, the tall English speaking waiter told us just to find a table inside; we did and it was a wonderful lunch. We ate the menu of the day lunch, with asparagus soup, fresh fish and a dessert.
Thankfully, the waiter spoke English and was very attentive.
House wine comes in unlabelled bottles and is very good value.
Combine a market visit with lunch here.

La Brasserie du Moulin is the rendezvous of those looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere around a traditional and authentic cuisine. Brewery adjoining the Clarion Suites is housed in an old mill of the eleventh century canal-side on the Ile du Gua. Nestled in a green setting, adjacent to the lock, the Brasserie du Moulin offers guests a unique space with a wooden Terrace on the water allowing those who wish to attend the ballet of boats passing or to the knowledge of Daisy duck, local mascot.

Small but excellent fishfood restaurant in Narbonne's town centre. Service as well as the dishes are excellent and the price range is quite fair for the quality one receives. The furniture and interior could do with a remake but it doesn't detract from the gourmet experience. There's also a nice take-away service in place.

This restaurant is clearly very popular with the locals. First time we tried it was fully booked. Next time there were only 3 tables left which filled up quickly. We enjoyed seafood spaghetti and some fish of the day (selected from a tray with 5-6 different kinds of fish). Service is good.

This restaurant will not disappoint you. The menu is innovative and everything we had (which was a good selection between the four of us) was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. After three years of coming to Narbonne, this is the best restaurant we have found. Don't be put off by the fact that it is a bit out of the town centre, it is really easy to walk there. The staff are friendly and the wine list has quite a few reasonably priced wines.

Close to the historic center, nestled in a semi pedestrian street, lies the restaurant "small courtyard" as the name suggests, a small flowered and shaded courtyard waiting for you to spend a pleasant time, but beware !!! It has only 16 seats. The restaurant has 25places but we serve a maximum of 25 seats in summer and winter, so remember a book.

We offer a mainly based on fresh food, fish and meats are grilled over a wood fire, no need for sauce to appreciate, no chips but potatoes on the grill or gratin or simply crushed to 'olive oil and herbs.

A quick formula for lunch and dinner, with buffet of discretion starters, 3 dishes to choose from, and dessert.Une gourmet formula with fresh foie gras, smoked salmon (made in the courtyard) followed by a wolf or sea bream or fish of the day, steak or duck breast or rack of lamb etc ...... ..but keep a little room for the desserts which are made every day.
We bumped into this place on a wander into town from our apartment. We recognised that it was one of the place that we had read reviews for. It was quiet but the menu seemed good enough and we were hungry so decided not to wander round looking at other places.
We opted for the fixed menu and had a reasonable help-yourself salad from the salad bar followed by entrecote and baked potatoes. A lovely meal and good service from the family who run the restaurant.
