Within the heart of the Monbazillac vines, only 10 minutes drive from Bergerac, Philippe and Veronique Chassagne welcome you to come and sample some of the region's best cuisine.
We had dinner in the Grappe d'Or. We ordered " Veritable Confit de canard croustillante" and were a bit disappointed as it was not croustillant (crunchy). When you advertise crunchy then the skin should be crunchy. Otherwise the taste was very good and we just had to leave the skin as it was not crunchy. Maybe the chef had an off day. Otherwise the price-quality is very good and the menu's looked very attractive at a good price.

Booked a table for the family. We were well looked after. The service was excellent - definitely not too zealous or indifident, but rather a presence when you required it without any sort of intrusion.
The food was great. very tasty and prepared with a great deal of care. They must use excellent quality produce and the chef is an expert.
Would like to eat there often!

In the small covered modern market in the ancient section of Bergerac is a gem of a small restaurant. Honest good food, cleverly prepared and delivered in a setting where you can either sit outside and watch the world go by, or enjoy the hall of the market as vendors close up for their own lunchtime break.
Most important is the food.
With an extremely competitive "Plat de Jour" menu, the cuisine is modestly presented by the lady of the proprietor couple. A family fare in a family business, surrounded by family businesses.
The food is excellent and inventive with interesting combinations of tastes with choices that meet most peoples requirements for a formula lunch.
Well worth a visit and certainly excellent value for money.

We were in Bergerac for my birthday weekend. It seemed we were spoilt for choice for good restaurants, but we chose this one and were not disappointed. It’s not cheap but everything was wonderfully cooked. Local wines were lovely too, and the log fire gave a lovely atmosphere. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive. The cheese course included Camembert ice cream. Sheer class,

The menu seems quite limited however the food is amazing!!! There were 3 different amuse bouche all very different with strange but tasty combinations. We had fois gras and then the duck with amazing sauces and potato waffles. The sweets were pretty and very nice too!
We sat outside on the Terrace and the service was good (slightly disappointed to be charged 6 Euros for water!!)
Overall excellent if different food, highly recommend!!!!

Situe dans le centre historique de Bergerac, La villa Laetitia vous accueille dans un cadre unique ou murs de pierre, vieilles poutres et cheminee offre une ambiance conviviale et chaleureuse
The setting was charming - in the old part of Bergerac. The food was uneven. All dishes looked beautiful but were not as flavorful as I had come to expect in this region of France. The best entree was the lobster bisque which was delicious. The risotto with mushrooms needed salt and the steak was very under cooked.

Tired of the usual duck and steak we fancied something different. Only found this place as it came highly recommended on trip advisor but glad we did. Food delicious and friendly service. We speak virtually no French but owners happy to help out with the menu. Also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and not too far from the old centre. Well worth the walk!

We had the menu retour du marché for €39, a specially made vegetarian menu for €49 and le menu enfant for €19. There were canapés, amouse bouche, starter, main, dessert and petit fours. The kids loved the mini baguettes that were in endless supply. It...MoreThank you very much for your kind compliments and comments Valérie Bramery

Don't expect mainly Basque as it's at best only about 50/50 Basque/French. Some interesting choices and it was no problem to mix the menu du jour with an item from the carte but this does tend to jack up the price somewhat. Fair wine selection and not overpriced.
