Great and interesting building with plenty of history and information held within. The building is very peaceful and reflective. On the outside there are fantastic views although there is a bit of a walk up the hill to get there.

We visit regularly and walk into the square from the church around. I am not religous but can appreciate the significance of its history and what it represents to the people and community.
It is a place of beauty, meaning and history of a great town. Religous or not take it's great architectures and atmosphere of the environment in Mellieha Malta.

Fair walk especially on the way back up the steps but definitely worth a visit. I love the red sand here and the walk up to the top of the cliff where you can see the next bay is fantastic.
There is a good snack and drinks beach bar where the prices are very reasonable

If you visit Malta, don"t forget to go on Gozo island,it"s a short half hour from Cirkewwa harbor of Malta.
When you arrive on Gozo harbor, take a taxi,is not expensive, you can visit more faster and confortable the important places of the island.
Gozo is a little different that Malta, more rural and quietand the roads are better.Visit the capital Victoriawith splendid Citadela,go to ancient sanctuary Gantija.
Stay few more moments on a special place-Ta"Pinu church, and you will remembered all life.
Enjoy a beautiful day on island of Gozo.

A detour to visit St Agatha's Tower (also known as The Red Tower) is well worth a visit. With stunning views all the way to Valletta in one direction, and with views over Gozo in the other. €2.00 entrance fee, and if you don't fancy the climb, there is a car park adjacent. Recommended.

A large number of steps to reach this Grotto. Once you go down them and enter the grotto the peacefulness compared to the bustling area above simply hits you. It is clearly a place of pilgrimage looking at the cards, photos and letters on the boards at the entrance.

We stopped at the beach for a short break and swim - there were plenty of facilities and the sand/ sea were both clean and easily accessible from parking on the nearby road. Lots of kids swimming in the area and boats segregated from swimmers, so well managed.

Quite a small location but packed with information in each of the houses and buildings. I've never seen the film but it was worth the short (15 minute) walk from Melieha. 10.50 Euros and that got a free postcard and small "Popeye Punch" drink. Was quiet when we visited in March but can see it being busy in the summer with kids!

You would be hard pushed to find a more delightful seascape view and the food provided by the admirable Mambo beachside restaurant. A delight.
