The restaurant's atmosphere is nothing special, however the service is friendly and polite, and the food is excellent. I loved the octopus!
This was one of our best value for money dinners in Malta, around €60 for two persons. The food was fresh and tasty, service perfect.
My only complain was the background music, which was the most horrible collection of cheesy romantic hits. I just can't get the idea.
I could highly recommend the place with a different music. :)
It also means something, that a Maltese friend of ours recommended this restaurant on our first night.

The Arches has a long history of success which makes it definitely a unique place. The Arches is an exclusive first class restaurant boasting exquisite international cuisine prepared by our Chefs. Impeccable silver service, starched linen and a sophisticated ambience will ensure a memorable evening of fine dining in the north of Malta. The Arches has built the reputation and clientele over more than three decades. Our success is based on excellence in service and best quality, presentation, creativity and tastes incorporated in every item on the menu.
We dined at The Arches for my birthday while we were on holiday. Our whole experience in the restaurant was fantastic, we had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely outstanding. This is definitely not your average maltese restuarant. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Visited this cosy restaurant on the 13thFebruary. The atmosphere was splendid with a few patrons enjoying a quiet meal. We enjoyed a carpaccio of seabass and a surf-and-turf starter. The taste was exquisite. Then we continued to indulge ourselves in the second course, where we selected a selection of lamb and a plate of Arborio rice with cheese respectively. Again their taste was wonderful.
A nice bottle of local wine accompanied the food nicely. Service was courteous and timely. Well done to the lads working there, though we did notice the lack of female staff.
Overall this was an enjoyable dinner which we savoured!

We read the reviews on trip advisor and gave bouquet grain a try on our first night in Malta Tuesday evening not too busy to start but popular by end of evening, duck and vegetables beautifully cooked and I had red snapper lovely fish. Would recommend the mussels looked lush steaming hot and plentiful. Thank you for a lovely meal, polite staff and the touches of bread and dips etc at the beginning and limoncello at the end gratis a nice touch, best pavlova I’ve tasted too.

Recommend by hotel due to the shuttle service offered
Food was excellent- my duck main was cooked perfectly and was melt in the mouth
Husband enjoyed the belly pork which was very tender - he did say the crackling was not as good as mine !
Portion Size just right
Sadly no room for pud
Building nice although there was a little draft ? Air conditioning?
Good service- typical relaxed ‘Malta time’
Large wine list and whilst we usually go for local wines as there was a South African pinotage - one of our favourites which we do not find on most lists we went for that which was excellent
Prices not much higher than other places we had been to - but quality much higher
Highly recommend

Located in the heart of the quaint and picturesque village of Mellieha, the Tosca Restaurant offers an Italian culinary feast in a warm yet modern environment.
I went on a Wednesday for dinner.
It was a nice relaxing dinner.
Staff are friendly and cordial. However, it is clear that they are not experienced as waiter. For a hotel restaurant one pretends better.
Food was taste and presentation acceptable. Price reasonable, although there are similar restaurants in Mellieha which are cheaper in price.
Still would go, although I prefer other restaurants, such as Da Ciccio or Al Ponte.

This was our first night of our first visit to Malta. It had already been recommended by someone who had previously stayed in our apartment (round the corner)
The meal was delicious. The ambience was great and the waitress was lovely. I would highly recommend it and visit again.

Clearly I've been before and I'll go back for these simple reasons ... good service and attention, not expensive , and great food. We had chicken Korma, chicken with spinach, rice naan bread and poppadums. It's not an Indian restaurant but they make a mighty fine job with their curries and for that they deserve praise. Sensible portions - we couldn't finish ours- and consistency good. I would recommend a visit if you're in Mellieha.

Blue Waters, a friendly family run restaurant/pavement cafe bar. Good choice on menu with everything home made and fresh, local sourced foods and all very reasonably priced. Open from early morning for breakfast which is excellent, through the day with snacks, lunch and evening meals till late evening. The Sunday roast is delicious as is local maltese dishes on offer. You can be sure of a warm friendly welcome and efficient service whenever you go, brilliant atmosphere. Can highly recommend Blue Waters.

Open for Dinner. Commando is a restaurant and wine bar housed within a 300-year old stone building that has been the workplace of our forefathers for over 80 years. Chef Damian Ciappara draws inspiration from his surroundings, using fresh local ingredients to create simple yet elegant dishes. We work closely with local producers to deliver a seasonally influenced menu that celebrates Mediterranean flavours. Fresh fish/seafood, tender meats, sun ripened vegetables, rustic pasta dishes, and homemade desserts.
Amazing romantic place, if you want to come in couple. The service was perfect and the quality of the food was unbeatable in Malta. I highly recommend this restaurant if you have the chance to stay around the area. You will have the chance to meet a friendly staff with the owner very caring with his guest. Great experience, we went two times; especially to have our last dinner in Malta.
