Situated on the historic 4,000 acre Rose Hall Estate, and sited on 200 acres of lush greenery and rolling countryside, The White Witch Golf Course is carved from the rolling countryside of Jamaica’s historic Rose Hall Plantation and is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril. This 6,758-yard, Par 71 treasure is named for the plantation’s beautiful but wicked 19th century plantation mistress, Annee Palmer. Legend has it that Annee’s ghost still haunts the estate, creating an alluring mystique that has fascinated island natives and visitors for generations. Winner of the "Jamaica's Best Golf Course" award at the 2015 World Golf Awards, also rated as the #1 Golf Course and #1 in Golf Shop Staff service by Conde Nast Traveler. The White Witch is considered one of the finest golf courses in the Caribbean, characterized by mountainous terrain, cool trade winds, colorful foliage and spectacular ocean views from 16 of its 18 holes.
When playing this course, make sure that you have something to take pictures because the views on the different holes are fantastic. You will have a caddie go with you and give you advice on the course and holes. We also asked our caddie about the different things to do around Jamaica and her recommendations. The course is very challenging but definitely something to try out if you are a big golfer. They do recommend you tip the caddie $20. The only thing I was "upset" about was when we did tip our caddie $20 she seemed disappointed that it was only $20. Overall though, beautiful view!

If you want to be picked up 5 hours before your flight and to spend 4 hour at the airport - they are your guys. They are inflexible, rude and seem to care about their convenience way more than they care about their customers if at all. I wish I knew that before I booked. In all of my travels in Caribbeans, I never had such an unpleasant experience. Buyers beware.

The greatest of Jamaican great houses, the Rose Hall Great House has a story with all the elements of an engaging novel. Built in 1770 by John Palmer and his wife, it eventually became the residence of their grandnephew, John Rose Palmer. In 1820, Palmer married Annee, a beautiful but feisty English girl. Little did John know that his young wife possessed “black magic” powers that would eventually lead to his demise. During her reign as mistress of the plantation, Annee did away with two more husbands and countless lovers. “The White Witch of Rose Hall” has fascinated generations, and even today, there are those who claim to see Annee passing through the Great House. A candle-lit evening tour of the Rose Hall Great House is a must for visitors to Montego Bay. Your guided exploration of the former home of Jamaica’s White Witch, Annee Palmer, includes captivating and chilling stories of love, murder and mystery skillfully told by knowledgeable guides. You’re sure to feel goose bumps as these eerie tales come to life in this grand estate, where ghost sightings have been reported over the years. Tours also give historic insight into this grandest of Jamaican great houses, now beautifully restored with 18th-century decor and antiques. To conclude this fascinating adventure, you can visit the dungeon, now transformed into a tavern called Annee’s Pub. Many visitors find that the famous rum cocktail, known as “Witches Brew” helps banish the spirits of ghosts or black magic they sense still lingering in the mansion.
This was an interesting tour. I’m glad we went. The house has been around since the 1770’s. it’s great architecture and history was fascinating and impressive that something can still be around after so many years. I only wish I’d have paid more attention when upstairs in the red room, Annie Palmers room. There is a mirror that people who have taken pictures of have captured ghostly pictures. Photos from people who have visited and noticed things in their photos have mailed them in to the great house for dislay

Cinnamon Hill's diverse elevations offer a great combination of both links style and inland golf. Feel the cool ocean spray on your cheeks as you play alongside the Caribbean Sea, then hear the wind whistling through the pines as you tee-off on holes 16 and 17, 350 feet above sea-level. On the closing stretch, tight fairways are dotted with treacherous, strategically placed bunkers, inspiring the most competitive player’s best game. This is a test you will enjoy - enchanting panoramas framing your every shot. The Caribbean Sea can be viewed from 17 of the 18 holes and the one hole where it’s absent a majestic waterfall awaits your errant tee shot. The waterfall is the site where they filmed James Bond’s Movie Live and let Die and is only one component of the great history that is on the course. On hole #14 the winter home of country music superstar Johnny and June Cash can be seen from the fairway. As an added enhancement, one of the course’s biggest assets happens to be its expert caddies. Cinnamon Hill caddies are listed among "The Best In The World" by Golfer Magazine. Each caddy is expertly trained and ready to help you improve your game.Come, experience Cinnamon Hill and add your own story to its intriguing history. This challenging par 72 layout which plays just over 6800 yards from the tips has 4 sets of tees that offer a great experience for all levels of players from juniors to seniors.Proud Host of the 2010 LPGA Tour event ‘The MOJO 6”Rated by Golfweek as a Best Tour Courses you can play. Rated at #29 right after The Blue Monster at Doral. Please note: All rates include green fee cart caddy and all taxes as well as use of the driving range, short game area and putting green. Our Nike VRS club rentals are $55 and come with a free sleeve of Nike Golf Balls and our Nike shoe rentals are $20.
Nice layout but in terrible shape. Many greens are without grass and you hit about a third of the shots off mud.
The Hilton told me it was $55 to play but it was $170 plus a $30 tip for the mandatory caddie.
Don’t waste your money

Last Thursday, we were taken to Blue Hole by Howard. His car is spotless. He is such a kind person. He filled us in on Jamaican history, pointed out landmarks and even treated us to coconuts, sugarcane (yummy!) and beer. He really made the long drive fly by!
Howard also took a group of us out to Scotchies for an amazing evening.
I've travelled to many places and have often had drivers that are being pushy and trying to force extra excursions and fees on you. This was not the case at all. Howard made this trip extremely comfortable and relaxing!
If you are looking for a driver in Jamaica make sure to get Howard!!
Thanks again for the lovely time Howard! We will be seeing you next year!!

A beautiful garden thoughtfully designed and cared for by Ras, his brilliant wife Tamika, and son Ayale, and friends. So many gorgeous plants and flowers, surprise vignettes set in the "carved out of rock" terraces, along with Ras's artistic touches make this garden and gallery a unique place well worth a visit.
An added bonus is their resident Doctor Bird named Rudy who enjoys following you around whirring and chirping, displaying his vibrant colors and long scissor tail, especially when being fed nectar from a bottle. There are lots of other native and some migrating birds as well.
Admission is $35 per person and transportation can be arranged by Tamika but it's not included in admission.
I'd definitely recommend visiting and allow about 3 hours for a leisurely experience.

A five minute walk ,crossing a busy road, from the Rui Montego Bay hotel complex, this is a small shopping parade. There is an Indian restaurant, several tourist shops,a pharmacy, hairdressers and cafe. There are some empty premises,as we went in October the centre was very quiet.

A uniquely Jamaican, first class lounge experience. Imagine escaping from the stress and chaos of security lines and crowded departure halls to a sanctuary where you can relax or catch up with the office. The 10,000 square foot lounge affords you the space to enjoy culturally themed specialty rooms, a complimentary premium bar, snacks, wifi, shower facilities, concierge duty free shopping. Jamaican hospitality and charm meet first world innovation at Club Mobay.
Outside of the food and drinks included when you arrive and leave, and the private departure lounge where you can hang out while awaiting your flight home, the best part about this is their private customs and immigration line when you arrive in Jamaica. You’ll be met by a rep as soon as you get off of the plane, and literally walk past hundreds of people waiting to get through customs. From the time we exited the plane until we were in the arrival lounge was 20 minutes (and that’s mainly because we had to wait for our bags to be unloaded from the plane).
