This reserve is located by the foreshore at Hastings. It has a skate park, a children's playground, a sporting centre, views over Western Port Bay, walking and cycling tracks, a giant chess/checkerboard, table tennis table and vast expanses of grass. It is great for a picnic and allows children to run wild, while staying within sight.

If you are considering visiting Mornington Peninsula, you absolutely have to consider Plunge Tours! From the moment we got into the car in Melbourne, Arthur greeted us and before we knew it the 1 hour drive to Mornington Peninsula was over.
We enjoyed the first hour at a picnic by the beach, enjoying fresh cheese and olives and sparking rose. We continued on to various wineries, including a private tour of Prancing Horse and Rare Hare. We also enjoyed the amazing views of the coast line during the day, and also enjoyed Arthur’s company! I would highly recommend this tour to any and all travellers. Take the plunge today!

Warringine Park is not very well known but it is one of the more interesting parks and board walks on the Mornington Peninsula. It starts at the Stony Point end with Australian bush and then emerges onto the swamps and mangrove areas of Western Port Bay and proceeds for four to g=five kilometres to Hastings, mostly on a board walk .You have views over Western Port Bay to French Island as well as the experience of walking through a mangrove swamp. Right now part of the boardwalk is closed because of fire damage but still worth a trip

Don't forget to have a pony ride too! You will love the natural beauty of the farmland and how well the animals are loved and looked after by our staff. OPEN PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND EVERY DAY IN THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
I have taken my grandchildren to The Big Goose a number of times and they never tire of patting and feeding the animals and just love the playground with the truck, ropes and slides. It is a perfect place for pre-schoolers and primary aged children who love the animals, bouncing on the large air filled cushion, playing in the playground and exploring the various areas, such as the pony and tractor rides and sheepdog area. Each time we visit there is a new area being developed. The play areas are covered but the out door areas are a little exposed but planting is being done to beautify the site and provide shade. The children run in excitedly wherever we arrive to be at their favourite activity first. Well worth a visit!

Bittern Reservoir is located in the southern boundary area of the Devilbend Natural Features Reserve and has recently been opened by Parks Victoria for public access.
I am a keen Mountain Bike rider and bushwalker and the opening of this great park five minutes from home excited me greatly.
Two tracks start from the picnic area both on formed tracks and of a gentle grade.
The "Bittern Circuit Track" is a loop track of approximately 2.5 km and does one entire lap of the Reservoir. Very easy walking or riding taking in some bush tracks and the Reservoir rock wall itself.
The "Catch Drain Trail" takes in the Bittern Reservoir and the greater Devilbend Natural Features Reserve taking around three hours to walk the 13.7km or a bit under a one hour to ride.
A couple of picnic tables are provided a short walk from the carpark and also a few bench seats are placed around the walks for a break.
Birdlife is amazing on and around the water and have also seen many Kangaroos and keen fisherman.
Bring some sturdy walking shoes particularly in the wetter months as some of the lower spots can be a bit muddy.
Swimming or watercraft are not permitted and pets, fires and camping are also not allowed.
A very pleasant, quiet and natural reserve, well worth a stroll or ride.

We recently used Wine Compass for my sisters hens party, an extremely professional company who went above our expectations to make our day enjoyable. A tailored tour to suit the group was perfect. Nothing was too difficult and a great knowledgeable tour guide.
