The historic Victorian-style homestead on Tanti Ave in Mornington has sported many different looks over the past century, and new owners are breathing new life into this stunning property. To delightfully contrast with its old-world charm, Brooklands of Mornington has opened Brooks Restaurant and Bar, cooking up a storm with a modern and relaxed feel. Guests can choose from the restaurant’s casual menu, including such classics as beer-battered fish & chips and free range chicken breast parma, while the á la carte menu has a range of delicious steak and pasta dishes, not to mention desserts to die for. Private dining rooms are available for groups of 8 – 30 guests. In addition, Brooks Restaurant and Bar offers great coffee and light snacks from 7:00am – 4:00pm.
Ordered the bruschetta and the crispy skinned pork belly stir fry Special.
The bruschetta bread was soft, cold and floppy- definitely no crunch or texture to it. The toppings were just ok, but where's the basil and there's no seasoning?
The pork crispy pork belly was horrible, really was. The skin was a soggy and not even close to crispy, the meat part of the pork belly was over cooked and crunchy, but the skin was soft and soggy - yuk. Looks like it was cooked upside down.
There wasn't much stir fry spice and I needdd to ask for chilli sauce (and got sweet chilli?)
All up a very ordinary , overpriced and unsatisfactory meal.
Lost me, won't be back.

The Rocks offers the Mornington peninsula a unique fresh air dining experience with an absolute waterfront setting. Two separate dining environments, the dining room and the covered deck, provide the perfect location to celebrate life. Our seafood focussed menu offers flavours from across the world and whereever possible our seafood is selected following the principles behind sustainability. Put simply, the fish on your plate, be it farmed or wild caught, has had researched minimal impact upon fish populations or our wider marine environment. A move we hope you support. The Rocks is fully licensed and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week throughout the year.Reservations can be made for the dining room (for any time of the day) or for the deck (for dinner only), and are advised.
The Rocks is positioned right at the end of Schnapper Point looking back across the water to the bathing boxes, beach, and colourful cliff face at Mornington. Food is tasty and well presented with an emphasis on seafood . We often have a bowl of mussels, or maybe panko crumbed and very light calamari, or of course fish and chips, which come in a huge serve and we now share ! There are daily specials, an adequate wine list and wines bu the glass , and service is friendly and efficient. We prefer to eat in the outside area but there is the choice of a undercover dining room

We hadn't been here for a while and were delighted last night to find the warmth of the hospitality and the food consistent and good. This is the sort of local restaurant that every community needs. The Tom yum was delicious and the prawn spring rolls just fresh tasty prawn. Delicious. 2 main courses one of pork and one of duck and both included a generous portion of fresh vegetables. We will back soon.

That's a good sign! The sun came out and the whole of the Mornington Peninsula needed ice cream to celebrate. Tutti Frutti does not disappoint. With a plethora of flavours to cater for even the most fussy ice cream foodie, it's worth traveling down the peninsula to enjoy a delicious gelato or ice cream.

Thank God for the Italians! Great thin crust authentic Italian pizza, friendly Italian wait staff, great salad and a dessert pizza to die for. We sat in the grocery area, surrounded by tins of Italian imported jams and spreads. Busy busy, so be ready for that. We'll definitely go back.

Mornington Peninsula Brewery is nestled in the industrial estate of Mornington. The brewery has a casual relaxed atmosphere complemented by the beer garden and a viewing mezzanine overlooking the brew house. Together with a tasty menu of traditional wood fired pizzas Mornington Peninsula Brewery makes a welcoming destination for the discerning beer drinker.
Walking distance from our friends’ home made this a great option for a couple of drinks and some wood-fired pizza – without needing to drive anywhere. Although located in a fairly industrial area, the setting is cool and pleasant, surprisingly leafy in fact. We visited on a warm Sunday afternoon and the place was buzzing, with very few spare seats. Our beer drinkers were well pleased with the great brews available and decent, local wine by the glass hit the spot for the rest of us. Wood-fired pizzas are nicely done, with generous toppings of quality ingredients; for the size, they're well priced. Service was friendly, though being as busy as they were we had to wait 45 minutes for our pizzas, which was a considerable delay. It looked like they had 2 ovens and several kitchen staff working flat out so I don't suppose there's much else they can do, just be aware of this and allow the extra time - it's worth the wait. We enjoyed the live music too. Our friends said it can get a bit chaotic with unrestrained kids running around but luckily we picked a good day to drop in, as this wasn’t a problem! We look forward to a return visit next time we’re in Mornington.
