A unique Holy Land site known as the hometown of Mary Magdalene, located at the shores of the Sea of Galilee. The archaeological site features a complete first century town from the times of Jesus. It is one of Israel´s most recent archaeological discoveries with the best preserved Synagogue in the Galilee. Complementary tours of the site are available upon request. The site also features "Duc in Altum" a place for worship and prayer. Magdala is known as a crossroads of Jewish and Christian History, and will soon also feature a guesthouse in opening mid-2018.
Celine (our guide) was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed very excited about the information she was presenting, which added to the sheer beauty of the location. The way she was able to weave the history of the location into a contextual story helped make the experience holy and informative at the same time. I would love to be able to visit again in the future and see what else they have uncovered!

Most amazing place. Excellent educational opportunity and very informative. First class lunch prepared onsite by the kindest and most sincere French nuns. Would certainly be among the first places to visit upon a return journey to the Holy Land. Visit and feel blessed.

Part of our Holy Land tour. We had a bible study of in the park like atmosphere and went to the Gates of Hades as referred to by Jesus in the Bible. What a visual it provided and really brought the account to life.

A vertical cliff towering magnificently over the Sea of Galilee and looking out towards the Golan Heights and Mt Hermon;
The weather was very nice and we enjoyed hiking the trail to the top. The history of the place is amazing and tragic for the Jewish people trying to escape the Romans. The way they hid in the side of the cliffs and the way the Romans finally killed them was sad. An example of the cages lowered over the edges by the Romans is at the entrance. Well worth the visit!!

Located on the Mount of Beatitudes, this octagonal church is interesting even if it's only been around for about 80 years. Many visitors use the church, and the nuns there will remind you to be reverent if you get too enthusiastic in your exclamations. It's in a beautiful setting, a place you would like to spend more time if there weren't so many people around.

This is a beautiful place to see many birds that migrate to winter here. We saw thousands of cranes late afternoon and the sunset completed the experience

Built on the grotto where Mary is believed to have lived and the Site of the Annunciation, this basilica houses a collection of excavated remnants of churches from the Crusader and Byzantine eras.
The Annunciation has religious and spiritual significance for me, therefore I looked forward to my visit to the church commemorating this event. I loved the paintings of the Blessed Virgin representing most of the countries in the world. The contribution from the USA was especially interesting since it combined painting and sculpture.

This was the highlight for me...walking the area where Jesus lived during His ministry. So many must see locations were here. The sea of Galilee, Peters mother in laws house, Synagogue, old olive presses and lots of original stone work. Just too much to mention. Highly recommended.

A challenging drive up hill ending in a most inspiring and tranquil place, full of ancient History, and Religious awe...The views of the Galilee from the top are marvelous, and the location already invoked in Bible stories some 3100 years old is indeed overwhelming in its majesty...
