Nazareth dishes with a Mediterranean , Morrocan , Persian , Italian , French , and Indian twists !! And what a twist it was. It is our opinion that the food served here combined with the ambiance of a 200 years old restored mansion and the friendliness of the owner leaves all the other restaurants in Nazereth or Israel for that matter far, far in its wake!!
Firstly, if you're shawarma-ed and falafel-ed out yet want real Arabic cuisine then come here. If not, go grab and drink just to imbibe the ambience and exquisite interior detailing. You're transported back 100 years, all the details here throw you into a space and place in time you've never been before but know you should have! We ate the baby salad, lamb mince thin crust pizza and okra with feta dish...all were terrific.

Bayat is a great little restaurant, with some tasty dishes, a young, lively atmosphere and a big selection of alcohol (the place is owned by Christians, hence the free-flowing alcohol - including Taibe beer, the only real Palestinian beer). Choose to sit outside if it's not too hot (and join the smokers), or sit inside/at the bar. With friendly and tri-lingual staff (Arabic, English, Hebrew), this is an excellent place to take some respite from the tourist trail in Nazareth. Relaxed pace, but catch the chicken breast, and for the kids try a personal-sized pizza.
Love the middle eastern fare of Israel but this was a welcome and flavorful change. Very good. Had the calamari, duck, mushrooms, pizza and coffees. Thanks!

This used to be the best restaurant in Israel, by far. It's such a pity that it has deteriorated.
We placed a reservation for 15:00
Arrived at 14:55 and waited till 15:20!!!
We had to argue and fight for our spot as the manager just couldn't care a less.
We waited though in anticipation for the fresh salads and juicy meet but that was the worst part.
The salads were soggy, dressed hours ago, over seasoned and lacked the freshness that was the signature of Diana.
The pita was soggy and not fluffy as usual.
The humus was missing lots of tahini and was made quickly and recklessly, it tasted as it came out of a canned tin box!!
The lamb chops were gummy, slightly off, with no salt and from an aged old sheep and not a nice and young lamb.
The kebab was ok, not more, missing the nice amount of seasoning they always used.
The service was horrible, our empty plates were not removed from the table and we had to remove them ourselves in order to have place for the main courses.
The rice was soggy, with a taste of chlorine ( probably washed with old water ) and ice cold!!
The Kufta was un cooked and completely raw.
When we asked for desert we were served the bill!! We were told they are out of knafe
Politely I told the manager that it is so disappointing that they have deteriorated so much and he answered "thank you " with a smile.
We will never come there again.
Any restaurant in the world is always judged by its last meal served and those who do not understand that have no right to exist, no matter what celebrity chef has shares there.
Be ware!!!

I stopped by this café/restaurant during my stay in Nazareth. It was unassuming and was filled with young local students. The music was great and the menu offered a lot of variety. I enjoyed a nice plate of sweet potato pasta. They have extensive choices inculding pad thai, salads, meat main courses and a wide selection of pastries although they do not always have everything on the menu in stock. The service was very good and the staff friendly. If you are tired of the local fare and looking for something different, you should try this place out.

We had late lunch on the way to a vacation in the Golan heights. The waitresses were nice and took good care of us. The food was delicious, Risotto, Lemon escalope and steaks the kids had. we also had some nice Deserts. Thanks for a great experience.

Nazareth is a quaint city, historic and lively, with narrow, winding, charming streets. In such a street you'll find this restaurant. It's modest looking and unassuming when you go inside, but the courtyard is very pleasant to dine in. The restaurant is adjacent to a school, and the sound of kids chattering and laughing in the distant background make for an unmistakably local experience, in addition to the lovely food and friendly service.
We ordered a wide selection of foods, including some specialties with lamb, some bread dips and frekeh (a middle eastern whole grain), and they were all delicious.

Loved this place. Great location, off the Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation plaza. A great place to watch the world go by. The world in Nazareth is unique- we watched priests, nuns, pilgrims, young and old Arab families and an Italian delegation looking for the municipality building. We had a Nazareth style toast with Arab goat cheese and Labana, great coffee. Staff were helpful and extremely pleasant. Restrooms spotlessly clean
