Rolfs is a family-run business established in 1979 by the Haffner family. Originally an old farmhouse, with a courtyard surrounded by traditional stone build outhouses and set in 4.5 Acres of mature grounds and Gardens. The buildings, dating back several hundred years have been carefully restored and renovated in its original style and character, providing beautiful Bedrooms, Holiday Cottages and an award winning a la carte Restaurant and Wine Bar. Located on Irelands south coast, amid spectacular scenery and unspoiled nature. Overlooking Roaringwaterbay and with magnificent views of Carbery's hundred isles, the Village of Baltimore is situated along the most southern west cork coast amid some of Irelands most spectacular scenery. The almost subtropical climate of the region is due to the effect of the Gulf-stream sweeping in from the Atlantic, influencing plant and marine life making this a paradise for gardeners and water sports enthusiasts alike.
I came here as part of a tour group, we were a party of 11 people. We were given a table upstairs and were the only party up there. Unless we were being served there were no passing staff. I think the lady who took our orders was one of the proprietors. I started with a mozzerella and tomato dish which was quite tasty. My main course was venison steak which I asked to be cooked medium. Sad to say it arrived almost ready to walk off the plate, ie rare and unseasoned. I carried on hacking my way through it as at the time there were no staff to complain to unless I cared to hike down the stairs and find someone. Our serving staff seemed to be pretty teenaged girls, maybe doing a summer job. They served the food and that was about all. I suppose the eye candy adds to the experiance of male diners. Two of our party arrived late and were fitted in with little fuss which was good. Other members of our party seemed to enjoy their food including one who did have his steak cooked medium. For me a disappointing evening. The payment point was hard to find, hidden at the back of the restaurant, nowhere near where we came in.

The Church Restaurant is located in the heart of Skibbereen Town in West Cork, it was originally a Methodist Church from 1833 to 2003. Steeped in history and character with lovely stained glass windows and high wooden ceilings, The Church Restaurant is open 7 days a week serving a variety of locally sourced produce. All beef & meat served in this restaurant is of Irish origin and purchased in the local butcher shop. Fresh fish comes from the local shores of Union Hall and vegetables are purchased daily for local suppliers.
One of several visits here but first for a lunch menu as we usually go in the evening. The choice was great as usual and we both went for Baked Hake with a herb crust with mashed spud and veg. It was delicious! Portion size was good - we were unable to fit a dessert in. We enjoyed a good quality house red and the service was great! Atmosphere was fab and we left the restaurant happy and full. Cheers!

This is a pub which doubles as a proper restaurant rather than offering pub-food. The food was excellent: straight-forward, genuine Irish cuisine made from fresh local produce and seafood, well prepared. The service is quick and efficient, as usual in Ireland. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed.
An excellent place, a little bit off the beaten track if visiting Baltimore but well worth a visit.

This restaurant is over Jacobs Bar, we reserved it in advance of our stay and asked for a window seat. We got a fantastic table overlooking the harbour and with unreal views. Putting in the big window was a great idea to utilise the views and sunsets. Unfortunately the food wasn't great, my husband ordered the prawns starter, it wasn't worth the price, I had the steak for main course and he had the monkfish, we were given a very small bowl of a couple of small baby potatoes and couple of veg, it wasn't enough for 2 people, my steak was a good size but I had to ask for more pepper sauce as what i was given on the plate was only a drizzle which makes no sense. I ended up getting dessert because I was hungry, this was nice but small for the price. We did see the famous seafood platter it looks outstanding if your a seafood lover you should go for it. This place has huge potential but I think we will try somewhere else when back in Baltimore.

We popped into Apple Betty's on a visit to West Cork and just loved it. We had basic stuff with just soup and sambos and it was gorgeous. Really lovely staff and very helpful . Spotlessly clean and one thing that I really thought was nice was a notice/poem in the loo about mental health and to speak about things. In this day and age it's good to see a small business doing this. A really lovely cafe

La Jolie Brise is not just a pizzeria. Although it has a good choice of pizzas to choose from the restaurant offers other dishes particularly fresh fish and seafood. The restaurant's marine theme is very much in line with the outdoor environment. The choice of fish and seafood is excellent and so are the pizzas. I had the mussels and they were excellently cooked with a very tasty broth. Service is very efficient and courteous.

Great place to meet and chat more or less anytime of the day or evening - on nice summer days and evenings you can sit outside in the square and just let the world slip by with a pint or wine - food is served - very busy but never the less the food was always served with a smile and was of very good quality.
