This Museum located in Armenian quarter of Isfahan. Visitors can visit Cathedral and Music museum in the same day. The way that the staff show the museum and also live music show is nice. Some people say the ticket price is high but this is a private museum and really worth it.

Shah Mosque

Reviewed By bobca1947 - home

This is located at the far end of Imam Square. It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. It is flanked by two tall turquoise minarets, and its massive entry portal is 80 feet high. It is beautifully decorated with cobalt, turquoise and lapis lazuli mosaic tiles and intricate stalactite moldings. The inner courtyard surrounds a reflecting pool, and four iwans (portals) lead into four fabulously decorated sanctuaries. Begun in 1611 by Shah Abbas I, this mosque was dedicated in 1629.

Gardens on both river banks are also tranquil, relaxing and alot of chairs and picnic spaces.

Vank Cathedral

Reviewed By TC0241 - Lautrec, France

This place was quite unexpected given we had been seeing Mosques in large quantities.
The Cathedral was established in 1606, dedicated to the hundreds of thousands of Armenian deportees that were resettled by Shah Abbas I during the Ottoman War of 1603-1618.The internal decoration is simply stunning in both design and colour.
The museum alongside gives reports of the Armenian deportation and the cruelty metered out to them.
It also houses lots of ancient bibles and artifacts which are well weorth a visit.
Tucked away in the Armenian quarter and close to some cafes and pastry shops in case you need sustenance :)

One of the best attractions in Nash-e-Jahan! Ali Qapu palace is a must visit when in Esfahan. The palace is uniquely and beautifully built during the Safavid period. Ticket has to be purchased before entering the palace. Some floors were closed for restoration during our visit. There are quite a lot of narrow steps to climb in order to see each floors of the palace. The designs of the ceilings and painting on the walls are really amazing.

Royal Mosque (Masjid-i-Shah)

Reviewed By KGB777 - Singapore, Singapore

This mosque seems to be known by multiple names. Whatever name it's called, it's located at the end of the main square and requires an entry fee of 200k IRR to go inside. The trouble with Iran is that it's hard to know whether it's worth paying the entrance fee as 200k is the standard price for foreigners for most attractions, irrespective of how decent it is. I'd say that this one is worth paying the entrance for though as it's really quite spectacular inside, despite the presence of the scaffolding on the dome.
