There are 2,000 years of history in Cologne, and visitors here will find everything from Roman towers to Gothic churches to fine examples of modern architecture. Cologne has a variety of museums, too—check out the Museum of Applied Art, the Museum Ludwig and, if you have a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Museum. Be forewarned, though—the gift shop at the latter will utterly ruin your diet.

Eckkneipe/Gaststätte gutbürgerlich, alteingesessen, rustikal Frische, hausgemachte Speisen, Kölsch, Weine und Softgetränke
Having read the reviews at how popular this place is, rather than turn up and take our chances we made a reservation online with the help of google translate! So glad we did! Fabulous food, attentive service, tables were turned over promptly for waiting patrons but at no point did we feel rushed. It was worth the 30 minute walk from where we were staying to work up an appetite - and glad of the walk home to walk off the excess food!

This restaurant in the hotel Excelsior is a beautiful place. We had dinner here with 14 people. The service the food, the service and the wine were just out of this world, really fantastic! What a wonderful experience. Would go back there any time!

Great place with excellent food, playing with modern variations on some local and German traditions. All dishes were perfect. Maybe the fish a little, little too salty but still very tasty. Service was excellent with a small show sometimes, but always within the acceptable and enjoyable range. The staff has a great level of empathy and adapts to the guests mood perfectly. Wow.
The place is little small and crowded. But you should not plan going there to talk. You should definitely plan going there to eat! ;)

Small boutique restaurant with limited Seating so I suggest you make a reservation. The outside of the restaurant was less quaint but the inside was very quaint from the art on the wall to the rustic tables. I tried the burratta antipasto with zucchini and cherry tomatoes. Very good. The burratta brought a creamy texture to the vegetables. My next course was the Pasta del Giotto, which was a ravioli stuffed with burratta and aubergine. Very good. All of the above was paired with a Nero d’Avola that was quite good. I finished the meal with a glass of Averna. I definitely will make an effort to come back.

5 course menu started wonderfully with bouillabaisse & scallops & prawns. Great bread served with yoghurt?(wrong) instead of butter. Overenthusiastic wine pouring - only seen before in Chinese restaurants. Waited well over an hour for main course. Lamb was almost uncooked (red not pink) and lasagne was raw and cold. I did not eat it. Cheese served with dense & bitter bread. Still Water was 7 euros a bottle- the most we have ever paid. £10 deducted from bill. If there is a problem explain, don't keep saying the food will be 2 mins, you are next .....

The restaurant, the food, the service, the ambiance - all are in first class category. We ate Butter Chicken, Chicken Bireeyani, Spicy lamb curry (they serve lamb, not mutton), Daal Makhanee, Rotis and Naans - all were excellent in taste and served beautifully.
Summary: In Kamasutra you get First Class food and service and pay Economy Class prices. Many thanks to Kamasutra team.

I went to some Korean bbq in Hong Kong also owned by Koreans but this one was way better than my previous experiences. The service is friendly and takes care. Buffet is medium sized but offers quality. The meat and fishes were fresh and not too greasy. Despite that our clothes smelled like a grill when going out of the restaurant, I really enjoyed the experience.

Southern African Streetfood
Very bright & welcoming. Started with a Limpopo lychee cocktail. VERY sweet, tasted only of lychee syrup. Chose Communal meal -7 dishes. All you can eat & staff were attentive & generous Lovely fresh samosas to start. Meat curry was tender. I really wanted to like the food, but it was pretty tasteless. Soggy potato wedges. Pap. Pudding good. Did not like the dog close by in the restaurant, although it did behave

Strengths: Attentive staff; small intimate restaurant; will seat groups of 6-10; only 30 people in whole place. All the food was excellent and I mean really high quality; its a fixed menu; nice opening starter; relzed antipasta platter; the cheese pasta with trufffles is simply phenomenal; all the meat entrees were great.
Opportunies: Ventaliation. The management needs to take seriously the need to get fresh air into the restaurant. Put a small vent above the door.
