For the second time I experienced Sharzad restaurant.
Shahrzad is an old fashion restaurant with an acceptable service.it was very crowd and we waited for 10 minute in queue; they prepared a cozy table for us. We ordered two seafood with rice; Food quality also was well but not perfect. For dessert, we ordered a cream caramel and traditional ice cream not perfect especially the way they were served. Too many waiters are there but they are not professional. However, service speed is fast and decoration is beautiful with traditional paintings and mirror works. The price is reasonable.

Khan Gostar restaurant occupies the ground floor of Jolfa (Julfa) hotel. The hotel is situated in the Armenian Quarter of Esfahan, (diagonally) opposite to Vank Church, one of the main non-Islamic sights in the city.
Despite 3-star hotel accommodation ranking, Jolfa boasts having one of the best restaurants in Esfahan, and this is absolutely true! Although very simple in interior and service, looking more like a canteen than a restaurant, Khan Gostar surely outruns famous posh Abbasi in terms of meal.
One the most extensive menus I’ve seen in Iran; traditional Persian food only. Rich and fresh salad and desserts bars, self-catered. They also make best coffee in Iran, which is (so rare!) not an instant Nescafe.
My local drivers, when asked about it, whispered in excitement: “very good, but very expensive!” The bill came at USD 20 (indeed, very expensive for Iran), but it was nearly my best dining experience all over the country.
Don’t seem to have a web-site. But the place is very-well known locally and is mentioned in the web, in particular here http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g295423-c107265/Esfahan:Iran:Eating.In.Esfahan.html and here http://www.lonelyplanet.com/iran/central-iran/esfahan/restaurants/middle-eastern/khangostar-restaurant and here http://www.trustedopinion.com/restaurant-review/esfahan/nazare-sharqi-entehaye-kucheye-alfred-hotel-jolfa/khan-gostar-1
its a typical Iranian restaurant with good quality food. It has a sister restaurant opened in city centre shopping centre and it is the state art restaurant with fine quality decor and furnishing. Staff are very well mannered and welcoming, food is excellent and ample portions. Slightly more expensive than this one but well worth it.

Beautiful restaurant with a kind of fusion of modern Persian with its traditional staple and western cuisines specially italian. The decoration at Hermes (the one located in the mall) was really something between trendy, funky and kitsch. Very interesting. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the one at Joffa district (Armenian Quarter).

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, It was restored in the old style, based on historical photographs. The food was good, traditional menu, good choice.
Nice detail was that all visitors got a flag of their home country on their table. There were however also plenty of Iranian guests.
Nice traditional music was played (live) in the background.
The staff however was not very attentative, or customer focused as some mentioned as well.

The tea house is out of the square and you should go to one of the alleys in the long side of the square. The square has two main gates and the tea house is near to the gate on the side of sheikh Lotfollah Mosque.
In there you can take beautiful photos, there are a lot of collections and old thing, whatches, radios, coins, notes...
There you can order different kinds of teas or cold drinks. They have also food. But better to have just a drink there.

The restaurant has several restaurant rooms. We decided to visit the room/hall with the live music. Unfortunately! The design was nice, BUT the music was horrible loud. We went for dinner and for talk and not to a live concert, which prevents conversations at the table. The room temperature was for the winter time too cold. It is not a pleasant situation, to have a dinner with too loud music and too low temperature. Especially when you order lamp meat, the taste is changing when it gets cold. It means, we had to speed up to finish our dish.
The quality of the food was just okay. We had several dished, like lamb shank, kufte (meat balls) and dolme (pepperball and egg plant which was filled with rice, etc). Prices were over average. Not a reason to visit again.

We went to Azam #4, south of the Si O Se Pol bridge, and tasted this nice specialty of Ispahan. It is clearly not designed for tourists, so people are very kind and even show you how to eat this "crepe". Very recommended!
