Sculpture gallery Het Depot has many interesting sculptures, mostly focused on the human body, and I think a bit of an obsession with female body parts in particular. To me it is as good as, or even better than, Beelden aan Zee in Scheveningen, or the Lehmbruck museum in Duisburg. And of these, only entrance to Het Depot is for free. An information booklet costs 1 euro. Behind the main building there is the Arboretum garden. Don't forget to cross the road to also see Villa Hinkel, where the collection started. I wasn't too impressed with the sculptures there, but the building is nice and the kitchen utensils in the basement are nice.

One hour, one purpose, one goal...ESCAPE Escape Room Wageningen challenges you and your friends to escape our room within one hour. Do you have nerves of steel to connect the hidden clues to solve the puzzles, riddles and other challenges while the time is ticking? Do you think you can escape before time is over? .
I am a fan of the escape game, and as I travel quite a lot, I. Like to try out games in different countries and cities. The escape room here has 2 games, we did "crazy farmer", which was a well thought out, well planned game with fantastic effects, I'm not going to spoil it for anyone. It was quite hard, and we did have a couple of clues, so we escaped with 3 minutes to spare. We were all so impressed with the high quality of this game, we went straight into the second escape room game "prisoner of war" and this game was equally as impressive. I highly recommend these escape games in Wageningen, totally superb and what a fantastic evening we had. Well done to the creators of escape room Wageningen, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

We occasionally visit Wageningen because this is the birthplace of my husband and most childhood memories are still here. He liked very much the nature parks and the flora and fauna thriving within. Arboretums in Wageningen are so beautiful one can not thinks of getting out from the park when you are in.
Fresh air, cooler breeze, and comfort you can feel.

This museum is built over some old foundations. Archeological finds include a long cannon's barrel, cannonballs. There's a rattle once used by the nightwatch, and items related to governance and justice in days gone by. The history of the museum building is explained. One room treats the agricultural university in this town. A considerable portion is dedicated to WWII, since people here evacuated both during the German invasion and after Market Garden. The town had casualties due to bombing twice, and there was quite some resistance activity. And Wageningen is best known as the place where the capitulation of the German occupying army of the Netherlands was signed. There is also some modern art.

This cheese shop is on the main street Hoogstraat in the shopping area Wageningen. It's a small but friendly and very reasonably priced shop. The lovely lady working was patient with us....Americans. She gave us samples and let us take pictures holding a wheel of cheese.....I known very cheesy. But we were purchasing some cheese and I think that makes a big difference, not just here but anywhere. Tripadvisor has attached their website. You can right click in the frame and translate it to English.
The entire shopping area of Wageningen is very quaint and laid back. There are several shops and restaurants to explore. There is paid parking on the outside of the city center.

Want to enjoy the blues music? come to this cafe. By the way, he blues cafe has moved to other address. It's now in the cafe Loburg, Molenstraat 6. The entrance fee is reasonable as you will get a good blues music. We've enjoyed the performance of Stacy Jones last week. We're looking forward to come back again for another blues concert.
