We got an excellent tour at Champagne Domi by the very friendly owner! Champagne tasted very good and we bought some bottles to take home! I would definitely want to come here again!

Festi'Vallée is an incredibly special and unique way to get to experience the wonders of the Champagne region! It is undoubtedly a one of a kind tour, that will not be matched by any other tour operators anywhere in the region! Vincent took a group of 4 friends on one of the most amazing excursions we have ever experienced anywhere, let alone through the Champagne hills! He showed us the most unbelievably breathtaking views through vinyards and rugged terrain through the bright breezy hilltops and give us an unhindered insight into the essence of how and why Champagne is the world leader in producing the fizz adored by the world! Vincent not only went out of his way to accommodate everyone of us within the group individually but he also had an immense and unfathomable amount of local knowledge that left us feeling like we were locals ourselves! I would highly recommend taking the time to take a tour with Festi'Vallée, you will not regret it! Plus the champagne tasting at the end of the tour, made by Champagne Thibaut Gisony is without a doubt one of the new top contenders to be recognized in the area! 10/10

We just visited this wonderful 'cave' and when I looked it up on tripadvisor and I saw the comment of the visitor of the 25th of May, I just needed to comment.
Because our experience was quite the contrary. An excellent welcome, showing us where we could find what, and a very good explanation of the different champagnes and such. We ended up buying some very special bottles, some we would never have thought of buying without his help.
I understand that the language barrier can be a problem sometimes, and I think that must have been the problem there, because I can assure you that a better service is hard to get.

Already Hautvillers is one of my favorite places in the Champagne region, so I was happy for this new discovery. I was with a friend who already knew their champagne and wanted to visit with the intention of buying several cases. Parked right in front and went straight to very nice tasting room with a fantastic view, although unfortunately the back outdoor Terrace seems to be under repair and was non-accessible. Champagne tasting is 10 Euros for three types or free if you buy at least 6 bottles. That seems fair, at least it is made clear from the start. A family business and the woman was very friendly and helpful, loaded the cases into the car for us. A very good discovery and I will definitely go back the next time in Hautvillers for their champagne and ratafia!

My two daughters and I toured Billecart Salmon in March 2017 with a wonderfully informative guide who generously shared his extensive expertise with us and a few other English-speaking visitors. We were able to visit a vineyard and observe pruning of the vines, tour of the lovely grounds, and see the caves and champagne making process of a small, exclusive firm dedicated to excellence. Our guide shared the special things Billecart does (including gentle treatment of the grapes and the adoption of as natural a process as possible) that contribute to its champagnes sharing a similar profile of unmatched finesse. Monsieur was very generous with the tastings, and his impeccable manners made the degustation an utterly delightful experience. I'm afraid it has made me a committed Billecart fan, and I have told many of my friends about this incredible champagne. This tour was our favorite activity while we were in France - and definitely a must do if you are in the champagne region.

Helene was absolutely fabulous. We asked for information on visiting some small champagne houses in the villages and within 15 minutes she had booked two reasonably priced tours for us. We then got some good recommendations for dinner and then enjoyed some free champagne tasting from two local producers.....lovely people that we had a great time chatting with.
What a great start to our trip

Hautvillers is a lovely little town well worth a wander: don't miss the cute signs of different occupations which seem to have multiplied in the village in recent years. But most people come to the village to pay their respects at the tomb of Dom Perignon. Of course Dom Perignon didn't 'invent' champagne, - the story is pretty much a triumph of 19th century marketing - but the Abbaye church in which he is buried is well worth a visit anyway. Has the feel of a working church which is always nice with a lovely little statue of Joan D'Arc as well s the Dom's tombstone in front of the altar. But for me the highlight is the relics in the side chapel. Top attraction is the supposed bones of St Helena the mother of the Emperor Constantine and a big deal in the early history of the church. They're claimed to have been stolen from Rome in the 9th century and protected here ever since. Nice idea if you're a believer, a little bizarre if you're not. Isn't it time to give the poor woman a christian burial?

Our hotel managed to find us this small champagne house at short notice on Easter Sunday when everyone else was shut and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Personally I preferred their non-vintage to their more prestigious champagnes and especially enjoyed their Blanc de blanc. So for a 100 euros you get to walkaway with a case of six nice champagnes where that will only give you a small taste of two champagnes for two people at Veuve. I know what I'd much rather do and have since been back to restock!

Toured the big houses and a couple smaller ones. Many to choose from and open most of the weekend days. Food available in some but not in the big houses. Worth it to stroll the avenue and look at the big belle epoque style houses.
