We were here for Sunday lunch. My wife chose the menu du jour and I the menu gourmet. The Jerusalem artichoke purée with bacon twist amuse bouche was excellent, and my smoked salmon thick-cut and tasty, though unimaginatively presented. My wife's terrine with nem was rather routine. My extra course was a mussel soup, which was O.K. but not more. The mains were both excellent - jugged venison for my wife and duck (magret and confit) with sweet potato purée for me. The desserts were also excellent - nougat glacé for my wife and mango for me. We drank in all three glasses of impressive pinot gris and pinot noir (Zinck Terroir) wine and mineral water, and finished with coffees accompanied by uninspired petits fours. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building - typical Alsatian - and the dining room is nicely decorated in the traditional style. Service was friendly and professional, though occasionally a little hurried and perfunctory. Euro 95 for two was a fair price.

A beautiful restaurant in an equally beautifully little town. Having been disappointed by our last Michelin experience (Dinner by Heston) we were hoping for something really good - thankfully we got great! The food is refined and sophisticated. For the most part the flavours were beautifully balanced. My wife and I both had a question regarding the lack of seasoning on one dish but otherwise we struggled to fault the food presented. The service was professional and knowledgeable. All in all a fabulous experience at a price that was reasonable.

It had been ages since I left a restaurant without leaving a tip but the rudness of the waitress was too much. She never spoke to us - she even brought an amuse buche without saying what it was. Left the bill on our table without saying thanks or even making eye contact... The waiting time was also unacceptable - over one hour since we sat down and we got our first dish... Food was ok but the horrible service spoiled our meal.

We had lunch here during a wine tour. Really a lovely spot. Some outdoor Seating in the back but we sat in the dining room. I had fabulous starter and the lieu de noir which translates as pollock it was beautifully cooked and the salad was delicious. We had to run so we could not eat our desert sadly. About 19 euros pp

We had to refrain ourselves from ordering more of the Flammenküche as we did not want to surrender our sunlit table in that very scenic street. The service was very attentive and the ultimate testimony for this good reputation house, was to notice that more than half of the patrons were actual locals. Next time I will give a try to the more interesting part of the menu which sounded very tempting too.

We dined at this intimate restaurant. The Somellier was very helpful and not a bit pretentious. The wine selection was extensive with plenty of good value choices. The appetizer was fennel- based and tasty. For a main course my wife had a lamb shank and I had the beef. They were both excellent and the vegetable side dishes fresh and iseasonal The service was very efficient and unobtrusive.

The food is fantastic and the atmosphere and service is great. We'd guess it's run by the owners, but there was one very busy very friendly lady at the front of house and one chap in the kitchen turning out incredible food. It's all typical alsacian food but with really care and attention and a modern twist (without being pretentious). Highly recommend and you need to book. Definitely deserves its number 1 spot in Turckheim.

I found Restaurant La Soi thanks to TripAdvisor and it definitely lived up to the great reviews. The restaurant is on a street that’s quite busy with passing tourists, however you’d almost walk past the restaurant if you didn’t know about it as it’s so daintily placed!
We ordered a tarte flambé each. Other tables were sharing one tarte flambé between two but we arrived hungry and wanted to try different ones. I went for the goats cheese and bacon one (called Chevre on the menu), while my mother went for bacon, Emmental cheese and mushrooms (called Forestiere/forest on the menu).
Oh my God, both were sooo good! The pastry has to be tasted to be believed. It was so light. The toppings were amazing too.
Definitely go here! I sent an email beforehand to make a reservation and I was glad I did as the place was so busy. English menus available and wine/beer (as well as usual soft drinks) served too.

This was our first meal during a five night stay in Colmar and was by far the best we had during our stay, in fact I can think of few better meals we have ever had. The 8 course tasting menu (85 euro) was fantastic value. I thought at first it may prove to be 'fish heavy' with four courses being fish dishes but with each course offering a new 'wow factor', we were not complaining. The service, wine suggestions, value, in fact every aspect was worthy of the Michelin star, in fact better than a number of 2* restaurants we have previously dined at. Fantastic all round - the only regret is that it is 500 miles from home!

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner based on its great reviews on LaFourchette and its location (close to Eguisheim, where we stayed). The food was very very good; one of our top meals during three weeks in France. The service was impeccable, and the dining room is lovely. It was the perfect choice for a special dinner.
