Depok (Sundanese: ᮓᮦᮕᮧᮊ᮪) is a city in West Java province, Indonesia on the southern border of Jakarta SCR in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan region. The "de" in Jabodetabek refers to Depok, while Depok word is an acronym of De Eerste Protestants Onderdaan Kerk (Indonesian: Organisasi Kristen Protestan Pertama, English: First Protestant Christian Organization). There is also a saying that the word "depok" itself comes from Sundanese meaning hermitage or abode of one living in seclusion.

Indonesia's largest mosque is a sacred place of worship as well as a center for conferences, lectures and seminars.
This mosque is one of the symbols of Indonesia and Jakarta. Istiqlal Mosque as a symbol of religious tolerance which characterizes Indonesia. It's a pretty big mosque. Located in Jakarta, next to Merdaka Square and the Jakarta Cathedral, Masjid Istiqlal (Istiqlal or Independence Mosque) is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and has the highest capacity with around 120k worshippers. It was built to commemorate Indonesian independence. The mosque was opened in 1978. It has a different structure than the classical mosque architecture. The mosque has a large rectangular prayer hall with a 45 meter diameter dome supported by 12 round columns, and has 4 levels of balconies. Its interior is mostly simple. The mosque was designed by Frederich Silaban, a Christian architect from North Sumatra.

I never went to Depok quite often, then i knew that they had Margo City, which quite nice mall, modern, big enough and not boring and one thing that exciting me is near train station pondok cina and easily reach by walking distance, this is good enough for me and i definitely will visit this mall again

One of the grandest mosques in Indonesia, Masjid Dian Al-Mahri is a private mosque donated by a rich woman whose name is Dian. This mosque is famous not only for its sheer size and architectural might, but also especially for the golden dome which set this mosque apart from so many mosques in Indonesia.

Base Camp arranged a 3-day tour/trek from Jakarta. From the beginning, communication was excellent. We exchanged a few e-mails and decided on a trip. The trek was perfect for our needs - excellent planning on their part. Instead of camping at the crowded, trashy camp between Pangrango and Gede, our tent was pitched in a beautiful field of Edelweiss on top of Mt Pangrango, next to a spring/stream with clear fresh water. Our guide Obe spoke excellent English and made sure we had breaks when we needed them, and that all of our comfort requirements were met. The food, purchased in local towns or cooked during the trek by our guide, was some of the tastiest food we had in Indonesia. We are gluten-intolerant and Obe always asked what we could eat or not eat. One of the best things was a delicious snack of tapioca-coated fried banana.
The guide and porter seemed to work very well together, and on the way down Mt Gede my husband and I hiked at different rates. The guide and porter split up so we wouldn't be hiking on our own.
The tents were spacious and stayed dry during the rain. However, I am thin and it is difficult for me to stay warm when not moving, and even with the silk bag liner we brought and all my clothing on (long johns, long shirt, light jacket, wool socks, hat) I was a little chilled in the sleeping bag during the night. And the sleeping pad was thinner than we are used to so we had to move our bodies around the bumps in the ground to get comfortable. But overall the trip exceeded our expectations.
When we return to Indonesia, and we most likely will, we plan to arrange another trek with Base Camp.

Inside your children may choose many activities: feeding and riding the animals, farming, painting or outbond activity. For each activity you have to pay from IDR 20.000 to 70.000.
Children may choose to feed goats, cows, buffaloes, chickens, ducks, rabbits, horses and fishes. They can also ride horses, carriages, buffaloes and hunting fishes in a pond. Children may also learn to farm rice and other plants. There is also an outbond park with a flying fox where older children can ride ATV. As for painting activities, children can paint on "caping" (farmer's hat) to T-Shirt.
This place is also suitable for family gathering as it provides a quite large "saung" (open hall).
D'Kandang might be a choice to pass your family vacation for fun but cheap amusement plus education.

They have a new slide in the park. Really cool. For food, they have Lotteria Fast Food, kids really love it. The price is fair, with the facilities they have it won't let you down.

The club caters to all levels and interests in horses. It offers the horse riding lessons, horse training and boarding, pony rides, after school activities, field trips, birthday parties, photo and video services as well as other horse related activities in the club or at the client's property.
These stables on the edge of greater Jakarta have several ensuite rooms which are comfy and clean. Rates are v reasonable. Good for couple of nights with riding lessons during day. Simple breakfast included. Take your own toiletries but towels are provided. Lovely big pool and poolside bar (check both are open). Riding lessons were good and horses well cared for. Instructors were good with kids and had good English. Grooms will let kids tack up ponies and groom them if you ask. A couple of big dogs at the stables but they were very friendly. Staff were helpful. Upstairs restaurant has good views of riding rings and is pleasant for lunch or dinner. Simple menus of burgers, pastas etc. Cold beer.
