This was one of my best Holiday experiences!
Having read a review prior to our trip, we stumbled across it immediately on hitting Cefalu .
There are just 3 small tables on the balcony which is the perfect viewing spot for a stunning view of Sunset so booking a couple of days ahead is essential (Book a table @ 7:30 ish and you can have it until 9pm)
We ordered a glass of Prosecco and were asked our preference - sweet, fruity, dry? As we both have differing palates, the drinks were perfect!!
(€5 per glass in prime spot, what's not to like?!)
Having ordered a mixed antipasti, which was delicious, the only suggestion to improve the experience would be to actively check if Customers require additional drinks - that said I realised on exit there's a sign saying 'we are here' so I understand and appreciate them not being pushy but perhaps a balance to be struck?
An absolute must do if you are a wine lover.....

We spent out time on the beach at the Pura Vida Lido during two days. We rented sun beds and a parasol. The restaurant serves good food and restrooms are clean. Good choice.

but if you're upset because you had to climb up what is clearly a large hill (you can clearly see it from the town), or because there was no shop at the top, or because the path isn't perfectly manicured ALL the way to the top, why do you bother doing ANYTHING!!???! The bad reviews of La Rocca are hilarious!!!
This is a lovely walk. The ancient ruins at the top are incredibly old and remarkably well preserved.
Wear decent shoes- can be slippy if it's rained.
Go to the loo before you go up.
Take water and a little snack.
Sometimes the booth at the bottom isn't manned so take 4 Euro in coins as there is a machine.
Well worth it. Recommended.

This Cathdrel was built in 1130 and has stood a great test of time, so it's well worth a visit, the scale of the Duomo in itself impressive. The Cathedral was built by the Normans who conquered the island in the 11th Century. The mosaics again are equally impressive especially the large mosaic over the Aspe showing Christ holding the gospel according to St. John. I also liked the cloisters

My wife and I visited Santuano di Gibilmanna near Cefalú during a two-week vacation in Sicily. The sanctuary is a pilgrimage site and consists of a small church, a convent, a seminary and a small museum. Although the site is not particularly interesting, the drive up through the Mountains from Cefalú makes it worth taking the trip; the scenery is stunning with lush, green woodlands covering spectacular Mountains.

no guidance or further explanation will help you to get along. Just a simple sign without any context. That is not enough to help regular visitors understand the useage of the structure and its historical background.

This is a great little beach on the west side. The water is clear and warm. The rock formations are so cool. We saw some kids jumping off in one spot, better to just watch.
Watch out for small sea urchins. I had goggles and could see quite a few.

This is quite a small square dominated by some palm trees and the Duomo on one side. Plenty of shops to but souvenirs. ....but really the piazza is, to my mind, ruined by the cafes that take centre space. Overall, pleasant enough for a brief walk through, but disappointing given the presence of the Duomo.

We spent a very happy half day here in August. It is quite a small water park, but there was enough to keep my boys aged 9 and 11 occupied for 4 hours. It was extremely busy, which meant long queues for the slides and the wave pool was very busy. We arrived at 2pm when you can buy a half day ticket, there was only 1 sunbed left available for hire at that time. We did use it, although it's also possible to relax on the grassy areas with plenty of shade.
The toilet and shower facilities were good and the whole place was very clean. We only bought coffee and snacks from the snack-bar, but the prices were very reasonable - €1 for coffee!
Definitely worth a visit if you're staying locally (we were in a villa in Campofelice, so only a 10 minute drive away on the SS13).
