This has been one of the highlights of our 2 week Nova Scotia vacation.
The tour was informative, interesting and hands-on which even made it more fun and enjoyable.
We agree with all the positive comments posted by other reviewers.
Don't miss it! Well worth the very inexpensive admission price.

What an enjoyable evening. The story of Lunenburg in story and song. Well acted by a talented, enthusiastic cast of local actors. You can easily see why it has been a hit at the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg for 10 years. We can understand the cast and crew wanting a rest after all these years, but it is a shame that this is the last season for Glimpses. Try to see it before it closes the 2nd week of Sept. You won't be sorry you took the time.

Denise knows her region. She did a great job of pointing me to photo locations. Not only does she know these places but she takes out her other workers on walking tours in the area so that they are also well informed. Well done.

Don't miss this beautiful church if you have time. The stained glass windows were saved after a devastating fire and the church was rebuilt from donations from around the world. The woodwork is gorgeous too. Worth the visit.

Our facility consists of a permanent Heritage Gallery with 9 exhibits, a Community Exhibit Centre,Visible Storage and Folk Art Gallery, Research Centre,Gift Shop,Multi-Purpose Room.We offer a wide range of experiences and services for our visitors, both locals and visitors from away! We are situated in Woodland Gardens, a lovely parklike setting with a duck pond, trails and picnic areas.
We stopped here after the staff at the Wile Carding Mill Museum told us about it. Since it was Saturday, admission was free. There was lots of interesting exhibits, each with challenges and hands on activities for the kids to do. The display on working women was well done.

Ironworks Distillery opened its doors to the public in June 2010. Situated in the old town of Lunenburg and residing in the building that used to be the old marine blacksmith shop, we create small batches of artisan spirits using produce from the Maritimes. We make vodka and brandy using Annapolis Valley apples, Pear Eau-de-vie, Rum, Gin and several delicious fruit liqueurs. Tastings are free. Tours are available.
Stop so our boys could taste the product, great people st the counter, lots of interesting product, neat building

The trail was well groomed and easy to walk on and the tour guide (Sam Wentzell) was informative and entertaining. We recommend this to anyone who is in the Bridgewater area with an hour and a half to explore Bridgewater's beauty and interesting history.
