This is a institution. The fish and chips are to die for. Melt in your mouth. No trip to the wonderful town of Lunenburg is complete without a stop into this pub. They even have their own ale. I recommend a one piece if you have the average appetite, but if you are hungry get the two pieces. Golden brown fries and a light golden bartered fish. It’s amazing.

We are now closed for the season and will be reopening in May 2018.<br>We will be open for New Year's Eve December 30th & 31st
My wife & I had the Tastes of the Ocean menu tonite. It was the most fun I've ever had eating. The setting is elegant, the presentation artistic, & the tastes unique. Our server, Erin, was knowledgeable, professional & attentive. Her skill & personality added greatly to the experience - 9 courses of eating excitement with tastes we've never tasted before & could never finding any other setting. The Chef graciously adjusted the menu to accommodate my medical condition. The price was consummate with the excellence but was good value. My only mildly negative comment is that as the tables filled the noise level increased unpleasantly, so consider going early before the crowd arrives.

Our foursome had dinner one night and afternoon drinks the following afternoon at Magnolia. It is a tiny, friendly place run by efficient ladies who know how to cook! I strongly recommend any fresh seafood there - and don't miss the fresh lemonade.

Overlooking the Lunenburg waterfront, the Rum Runner Restaurant & Lounge specializes in fresh Lunenburg seafood, purchased locally and prepared to order. Our menu also offers multiple signature dishes that are gluten-free - even our renowned Fish & Chips and Seafood Crepe are available gluten free! We also have a traditional Indian chef, once again trained in India, who grinds his spices fresh in-house, resulting in mouth-watering masalas! Perfection is our motto!!
After skipping lunch,we decided it was time for a treat and found that this place does lobster thermidor. Our meal was very good and the lobster was sweet and juicy. The sauce that the lobster meat was served in was light and creamy with just a hint of cheese, not like some we have had where the sauce is far too cheesy and overpowers the lobster. The vegetables and salad we had were really good but the twice baked potato was quite dry. The key lime pie dessert was also good.

We were seated quickly then it appeared it could not be decided who would wait on us. One person said she could get drinks but someone else would take our food order. The someone else didn't show up & we reverted back to the first person. Seemed to be some disgruntled workers. The food was average, nothing special. It was a very quick in/out; don't let the door hit you on your way out.

We wonder if anyone ever gets tired of this chain's incredible donuts. This time we had the Glazed, Double Strawberry, and Whoopie Pie variety. Wow! Fresh and delicious once again. This location is a bit tough to navigate both entering and exiting so be careful (for tourists anyway).

The baked goods are to die for! We had fish cakes and a Sandwich for lunch..both of us felt that the portion sizes were great. The lattes are also better than most!

Had an incredible, authentic German meal at the Old Black Forest restaurant. Having lived in Germany many years ago, I was thrilled to come upon this restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and I would definitely recommend them if you love a great schnitzel and apple strudel!

The Savvy Sailor Cafe is licensed and has great selection of both traditional and fresh new breakfast and lunch fairs. Views overlooking the UNESCO town harbour.
Stopped in on the Labour Day Weekend for brunch (guided by Trip Advisor-of course)
The place was not surprisingly packed and we took an unwanted spot on the cool (temperature wise) balcony rather than wait. Keeping our coats on was all we needed. We were fed promptly and everything was great
We'll be back!
