On my farm in Ancient Olympia, from which my grandparents made their living, and today is the basis of my own agricultural activities, you'll enjoy Greek hospitality. You will walk into our cool garden with trees and vegetables. I will guide you through my private collection, where I'll show you the secrets of honey production and other agricultural products from both past and present. Finally you will taste the products of my little farm and traditional sweets with honey from my bees, which with the help of my mother, will be prepared in front of you. Klio the beekeeper

An unforgettable excursion to the family winery Olympia Land Estate which is into the green valley of Olympia and just 5 minutes from the archaeological site. The particular terroir of the region, the excellent microclimate, the clayey and sandy soil help our vines to grow healthy and very aromatic grapes in order to produce high quality wines. In the Olympia Land Estate you have the opportunity to be part in a tour which start with a walk on the vineyards where you learn about the cultivation of the vines, continue in the production area and finally in the cellar with the oak barrels. After the tour you will enjoy samples of our wines, our homemade olive oil and also other traditional snacks in the air-conditioned reception area. We are on your disposal to help you to organize quickly and easily your excursion which will be for you a memorable experience.
Stopped on our way back from Olympia. Had a nice little tour of the vineyard and winery. Had a nice snack with a sample of their wines, which are excellent. We purchased wine, olives and olive oil (from their property). Friendly and proud family, good quality food and wines, can't ask for more!

This statue made in the 5th century BC is spectacular. The body is sculpted to perfection is the classic Greek style. The marble looks so smooth. It appears that at some later date the Romans added the legs from the knee down with Roman sandals and a cross bar with the draping under the child. You can see these additions because the marble is a slightly different color. This is one of the best pieces in the museum.

We stopped here while on a tour with our private guide.... we were greeted with glasses of wine and snacks and taken care of like royalty even if there were large groups finishing. You would think we were the only clients! We had a delightful time and the food was just sooooooooo amazing! Great boutique with lots of souvenirs as well. These people know how to take care of customers!

A must-see destination that provides context for a visit to the site. The building is attractive and the displays are most interesting.

A unique museum in the centre of Ancient Olympia for the greatest mind of all time!
Located in the Main Street, this showed off the technology of the ancient world in a very hands on way. Not a museum as such, but a reconstruction of things such as the Archimedes Screw, catapults, and all sorts of things. As an engineer,I found...MoreWe are glad you enjoyed your visit at the Museum and we really appreciate your kind review. Thank you.

Just returned from a whirlwind tour of Greece and Ancient Olympia was a highlight for me. One of my first thoughts was, that if this site was in North America visitors wouldn't get within 50 metres of these awesome ruins. But in Greece you can walk among the ruins without barriers. We didn't have near enough time here. Allow 2-3 hours and if possible go with a knowledgeable guide. They can tell you so much more than you can glean from the information signs. My opinion is that Ancient Olympia is a must see.
