People say that homemade food is the most delicious because it is made with love and ingredients of the best quality. With this in mind and respect to our local traditional recipies we cook everyday for you in our pension's tavern.Every plate we are preparing is made of high quality ingredients chosen every day from local producers. We are extra careful to the choises we make for the fresh vegetables and the local meat. Main Ingredient for the success of our recipies is the extra virgin olive oil of our production. Of course in our tavern there are many choises for our vegeterian visitors too.
The tavern is located on the hills not far from the archaeological site of Olympia. The tavern is beautiful and it commands an excellent view.
The quality of the food is first class and the portions are big. Service is very efficient and the prices fairly low.
Definitely it's worth a visit..

Aegean is in the middle of the Main Street in Olympia and easily accessible. Plenty of outdoor Seating lets you enjoy the beautiful scenery while you dine in Greece. The service was great and efficient. All food is freshly made and when its gone, the restaurant closes. The Greek Salad is out of this world. The tomatoes are some of the freshest I've ever had. The green cola is delicious. Reasonably priced and free wifi. Check it out!

As someone else said, don't get conned in to going here by your tour guide. Yes, it is very close to Olympia, but there are many other paces to eat a very short stroll along the road. Found the menu to be very small, and...MoreWe are really sorry. Our menu has about 9 different vegeterian choices. We are always trying to provide our best services!

We were pleasantly surprised to find a home cooking joint in an area dominated by restaurants catering for tourists. The dishes offered were unpretentious and tasty and the proprietor was very helpful. A truly lovely place if you prefer to eat like the locals.Thank you very much! I hope to see you again.

We stopped in for lunch and were not disappointed. There were so many delicious options to choose from and all were fresh and homemade. I liked the chicken, beef with onions, salad, baked ziti and the watermelon. There were too many options to try. The restaurant was clean and very charming. The windows were opened which allowed for a nice breeze. I did not eat the Greek dessert with honey because the pastry was greasy.

Our taverna is located in the garden off the hotel europa. Depending on the weather taverna the "Garden" is open from May to Oktober. Openig time, every day from 19:00 pm to 23:00 pm we serve greek and mediterranean food such as,grilled meats , stews, vegitarian dishes and pasta.
We were staying at the hotel and decided to have dinner here. Before dinner we had a demonstration on how to make the cheese pie with phillo dough...which was great. For dinner we had the cheese pie, braschetta, zucchini with potatoes, feta cheese, salad, meatballs, grilled pork chops, grilled chicken, lemon potatoes, a light coconut cake with grapes and the house red wine. This sounds like a lot of food but I only had a taste of everything and everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The outdoor setting is fantastic and this added to the whole experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Lonely Planet describes this small family-run restaurant as ‘no frill grills’ which sums it up. On a side street, so not much people watching, but pleasant enough. Our party of 4 had kebabs (stunning, highly recommended); pork gyro (huge), pork souvlaki (very good) and a burger; plus Greek salad and tzadziki. All excellent, and good value.

“KOSMA‘S INN” TAVERN - A 100-YEAR-OLD TRADITION In 1875, the excavations that began in Olympia, brought forth the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus. A little later, in 1908, Kosmas V. Cosmopoulos (1860-1927) from the neighbouring village of Drouva, opened an Inn in this uninhabited area, where villagers used its courtyard to sell or exchange their horses. The tavern is known under the name “ Kosmas’ Inn” and mainly served visitors arriving to Olympia from faraway villages to catch the train and continue their trip toward Pyrgos or other regions. Uncle Kosmas hospitably welcomed his customers, when they arrived exhausted from their journey, offering them a glass of wine and food for their horses. Travellers, often strangers to each other, enjoyed the tavern’s modest menu, which remained unchanged: “Feta in the oven, olives, sausages and salt-cured pork”. They would drink the local wine, sing and dance spontaneously.
This is a restaurant in a nice location on the main street of Olympia. There are ouside tables with ample cover so they are in the shade. We ordered Gyros which were very good and the portions were large. Our only complaint is the older man, whom I assume is the owner, had a very loud argument with the waiter in front of everyone aabout something and even when it moved inside you could hear him yelling. Kind of uncomfortable. There were 6 of us eating and we each wanted to pay our own bill with a credit card but the older man said he would only accept one credit card and he didn't seem to happy about doing that. Good place to eat, I am sure the argument is a one time thing but be aware of the credit card situation.

My wife and I visited the archaeological site of the olympics on an organised excursion from where we were staying in tsilivi, Zante.
Following the excursion we had 2 hours for lunch, the tour guide recommended the onsite restaurant for authentic Greek food however it was very busy so my wife and I ventured into Olympia.
All the shops and restaurants in Olympia were extremely pushy about eating here drinking there and buy this etc etc having been to Greece on a number of occasions before there is always a little encouragement but this is on another level.
Anyhow we arrived at a charming modern looking bar with zero pushy ness. A guy looked after us his English was great and his knowledge of the menu and customer services was fantastic.
The food arrived and was fabulous for a lunchtime snack.
If ever in Olympia run past the others straight to Zeus restaurant.
