Jimmy's Pub is one of the best places to eat in town, just ask the locals! The Creston Hotel and Jimmy's Pub & Grill has been operated by the Karountzos family since 1996. Jimmy the Greek and his chef Demetre have worked together with the rest of the Karountzos family to make this Pub a famous place to eat and enjoy a drink.
It's a pub but lots of choice on the menu, nice selection of beer on tap (love the BC choices). Liked that you could choose your sides from multiple options, not just stuck with fries or salad for extra like many places. A good solid...MoreThank you so much for your kind review! We are so glad that you enjoyed everything we had and that you enjoyed your stay at Jimmy's Pub & Grill. We hope to have you again very soon!

Full selection of breakfast., specialty coffee, best americano. Home made soup, panini Sandwich, savory crêpes, authentic poutine, hearty salad. Crêpes dessert. Full gluten free menu,
The french culture is behind every dish. Owner and chef Corinne with her husband are originally from France. Both are dedicated to providing dishes made with fresh ingredients (most from their own garden and local farms). The restaurant is small and intimate. Don't be afraid to sit down at the communal table and meet other patrons. The parking is tight. Some people park at the bulk station (up the road a little further) and walk over if the parking lot is full.

"Green tea and honey with Salted caramel apple cheesecake. I poured my cup of tea and slowly let a spoonful of honey drizzle into my steaming tea. I picked up my fork, and my dessert looked so divine it was hard to choose where to start. My mouth decided...at the tip of the triangle. The hot caramel and creamy cheesecake exploded onto my taste buds. The apple and cinnamon gave it a warm finish. Refreshing my palate with tea and honey I gently licked my lips and went back for more."

My granddaughter and I dropped in for a quick bite. She is a super person and I went along with her choice of mushroom soup. I'm not a huge fan of mushroom soup. Or at least I wasn't this was the one of the best soups I have ever tasted.
Honestly I would drive from Nelson to Creston just to go there for lunch again and have that soup. I've been scrolling the cookbooks hoping to find a recipe similar. I'm not sure what it is they did to it but it was excellent.

As an Eastern European descendant I like to try other people's pierogies and cabbage rolls. This place has got the touch. The pierogies were so tender and the potato cheese filling was perfect. It tasted just like the filling my parents made. The cabbage roll had a wonderful flavourful too, though I like rice only rolls. It was absolutely amazing food. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, just like baba kept her house. Please stop here. You will have a nice ethnic food experience.

We were on holidays in Cranbrook from SK. Left the children with grandma for a day trip date out to Creston. After the typical fruit stand visit, we went out to the winery and were pleasantly greeted as soon as we entered. Informative wine tasting, with and awesome light snack from their tapas menu, made for a relaxing time on the shaded outdoor deck over looking the vineyard. We also took advantage of the vineyard tour presented by the owner and is a great way to complete your visit. This is a great place for a quiet afternoon, but not if you looking for a truck stop luncheon, you have to be reasonable with your expectations. We would definitely visit this location again.

Second visit to this restaurant; dinner was very good the first time, so figured we'd give breakfast a try. We weren't disappointed. I ordered the quick commute, a light bacon & eggs dish, and my husband ordered eggs benny. Both servings were large (I couldn't finish all of mine). My toast did arrive quite black, however, but our server, Darcy, had a fresh (much lighter) slice sitting in front of me in no time. She was cheery, out-going and very attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Will certainly be keeping Ricky's on our go-to list.

We ordered a Hawaiian Large pizza, but they use Honey Garlic Sauce instead of Tomato Sauce. It was interesting, pretty good however it started getting too sweet to have more then 2 pieces. Neat flavour to try though. Next time would get 2 smaller pizzas with one being traditional sauce. Overall good pizza, great crust & flavours.
