I had a pregnancy massage and facial while staying at the hotel. Both therapists were great and the treatments very relaxing and enjoyable.
The only downside was no one gave me a tour of the spa facilities, I didn't find the relaxation room until I was leaving the spa.

Beautiful golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus.
After previously playing the KIngs and the Centenary courses I played the Queens Course and it was a delight. The front nine are the most difficult especially with the wind in your face. Shot placement and avoiding the bunkers are the most important things you have to do but also the most difficult. The greens are typical championship greens fast and hard to read. The food in the bothy clubhouse is also tremendous.

These guys are without doubt the most helpful and knowledgeable ever. We had a great afternoon talking with them and then test riding the Raleigh step through pedalec. My wife and I had a good test ride in the local park with no pressure at all on our return. I take my hat off to you guys. handing over a new electric bike to complete strangers to go play with showed great trust. We appreciated this.. It is an amazing machine and good value for money too. We loved it.
&&& ... Thanks for the coffee... ;-)
Brilliant advice.
Very many thanks. We will be in touch.

We were visiting Gleneagles for a few days and visited Auchterader as a warm up for the 'big boys' next door.
The course is delightful. Not too long, each hole is diferent with lots to think about. Immaculately presented the greens were in perfect condition. It's relatively flat so didn't drain the pegs before the PGA course on the Saturday!
Loved it!

Popped in whilst visiting Auchterarder quaint and cosy little bar and the lady bar attendant was polite and helpful. Unfortunately when the male bar attendant arrived he joined in with the clients in using bad language not just once but as a tirade throughout our visit. This sounds a bit prudish I know and a bit of bad language from customers cannot be controlled to a degree but not acceptable when the staff join. After the shock and awe of the moment we left after finishing our drinks shame as everything else would have made it a pleasant experience.

Fly from Auchterarder for amazing views over the nearby Glendevon Reservoir and Ben Vorlich, one of Scotland's best-known Mountains, and an area of outstanding natural beauty. As well as this Auchterader is home to the famous Gleneagles Hotel which hosts the Ryder Cup! Jump aboard one of our iconic red Virgin balloons and explore the beautiful county of Perthshire from above.
We bought our Virgin balloon flight 5 years ago and have booked flights on many occasions since then but always had them cancelled due to weather conditions. Whilst sometimes it was obvious the weather was against us, at other times we couldn't quite see why until tonight when we finally made it off the ground at Auchterarder. It was absolutely awesome and well worth the long wait. Watching and assisting to inflate the balloon was great and the crew were so friendly, funny and informative. Take off was so quiet, smooth and almost surreal as we floated gently off the ground. The pilot, Martin Cowling was superb explaining everything to us and taking us on a pretty adventurous ride across the Perthshire countryside, literally feet off the ground trying to find favourable winds and avoid taking us up over the hills into the Wilderness. His skill, judgement and knowledge were amazing and it certainly made us appreciate why so many of our flights had been cancelled before. We saw so much wildlife, gently rising and falling over trees....sometimes a wee bit close for comfort :). The landing was pretty gentle but exhilarating given that we had just passed over a large tree and telegraph poles and needed to land in quite a small field. We then got to assist to pack up the balloon before enjoying a very tasty glass of champagne in the field :). A truly magical experience and totally amazed at the skill required to pilot a balloon. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who has the patience to wait for the perfect weather window and a massive thank you to Martin and the crew for making it such a fun and memorable experience.

This perfectly preserved chapel is in the middle of a field, and we were thrilled at the find. It was not destroyed during the reformation (as many churches were) and apparently still has the original roof. It was constructed by Lord Murray which was one of my family names! We had a wonderful time photographing the interior and exterior and found that is quickly became one of our favorite photographic subjects.

T in the Park is an annual music festival that takes place every year (previously in a disused airfield) and now to the more glamourous Strathallan Castle. Over 250,000 people visit each year with at least 30% of these camping. Huge names appear each year such as Manic Street Preachers, Bjork, Fat Boy Slim, Blur, Stereophonics and Rihanna to name but a few. If you are cmaping make sure you arrive early as pitching areas are first come first served.
Had a very good time at the festival with a group of around 8-10 mates. We stayed from the Thursday to Monday camping and i would recommend doing this as the festival fly's by anyway so the longer you're there the better. It was basically constant drinking which just made it even better. Although the new location has been criticised i personally thought it was fine, The artist line up was also very good. Would definitely recommend the festival.
