An impressive collection of historical artefacts and machinery coupled with personal stories of the Feilding settlers. A relatively newly opened museum - very well cared for and the locals obviously take great pride in showing people their history! If you have a particular interest in...MoreThanks for your review :)

This market runs every Friday, in the Square in Feilding. There is a good variety of stalls - meat and vegetables, flowers and garden plants. Certainly well worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

Two hours on the Whanganui river on a Saturday morning was a great way to show my visiting Aunt the sites. Hint ...don't wear white! The coal ash does settle on your clothes.

An excellent opportunity to see one of the largest stock saleyards in the southern hemisphere in action. We took a group of visitors from Europe on a tour and had a fascinating time, everyone enjoyed themselves. Our guide was a retired farmer and very knowledgeable of the animals and the auction process. He was very polite and professional and answered all our questions. It is wise to not wear your best footwear and watch your step. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Made a booking for the T2 experience, a 2 seater toyota series racing car where they have stretched it a bit to fit a passenger seat behind the driver. Emailed to arrange it, got an invoice in return. Drove over 2 hours down to Fielding, only to discover that it hadn't actually been booked, and the guy that did it wasn't on site. So missed out completely. Incredibly disappointed, especially as I had gone quite a bit out of my way to go there. Not going to be able to do it anytime soon either as they only run the experience on Fridays and I won't have a Friday off work anytime soon.
The park itself seems to have a huge range of facilities, although I haven't been to the racetrack itself. Was here the previous weekend for the Park and Fly to Ohakea and had no problems, well organized.

We offer a fully catered walk on private farmland with the options of one day or two nights/two days walking package. The 1500 acre sheep and beef farm has stunning panoramic views encompassing Kapiti Island, Mt Egmont and Mt Ruapehu - the perfect place to soak up the central North Island scenery and true rural New Zealand.
