Established in 2007 by Matt and Julie Bell Focal Point Cinema Coffee and Wine Bar offers a unique dining and cinematic experience in plush 1920's décor, fantastic comfort, and a warm friendly atmosphere. Focal Point Cinema is located at 81 Manchester Street, just off Manchester Square which is in the heart of Feilding. At Focal Point we offer up to 50 movie sessions per week with a range of main stream, arthouse and international films which can be viewed in either our 40 seat hypacoustic theatre or our more intimate 16 seat theatre. Both cinemas offer comfortable two-seater couches with wide armrests to place the food and beverage of your choice. Each cinema is well equipped with cutting edge, Digital Projection and sound equipment. Focal Point Cinema is available for group functions, private bookings, conference groups, and children's birthday parties. A tasty buffet roast dinner or light finger food can be offered for group bookings. Out-catering services are also available.
Whilst visiting Feilding recently we visited this little eatery in the town centre. The cafe appeared quite small on entering but then we found a larger rear area and learned that it also has an intimate and very interesting little cinema attached. The cafe and cinema are really quaint and although we did not have time to view a film (very up-to-date films showing), we did have some food and coffee and delicious it all was too. We ate at the cafe on a Sunday evening when there were films showing and as well as having good food and good coffee, we found the staff pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our visit to this lovely little eatery in the centre of Feilding and will be sure to visit again when we are next in Feilding. Well done Focal Point Cinema. :-)

Nice place, has 2 dining areas, one more casual near the bar, both very good. Helpful, friendly staff and very good food. We had dinner with a very generous portion of bread and dips, then a "light" meal of Tarakihi and vegetables - cooked to perfection. The idea of having a "light" meal is wonderful. It is slightly smaller than the main meals and sufficient for smaller eaters. Would recommend for atmosphere, food and service. Very good value for money.

For a quick wood-fired pizza and beer served beautifully and efficiently you can't beat Drover's Return Bar and Cafe in Friendly Feilding. The ambience in the bar is well-suited to this country town and farming community - fast friendly service and spotlessly clean but retaining the rural and rustic. I recommend the Portofino Pizza loaded with shrimps, melted cheese and salami and topped with cress - flavored to perfection - accompanied of course with a large mug of Monteith's Golden Lager! The perfect quick meal before the show at 7pm......

Traditional Irish Bar set in the centre of Feilding, serving meals all day, every day. With a great range of tap beers (including the only Guinness in town), wines and spirits (especially the extensive range of malt whiskys), and our popular lunch and evening menus.
This really is a typical Irish Pub, booths around the sides, Irish momentous on the walls and ceilings and Guinness on draught.
We were there for lunch, good looking menu, fairly tempting, to be honest when the food came though it was fairly average, nothing really wrong with it but it was just average.
I don't think I'd rush back !!

It is nice to return to my hometown and find a great place for a curry. Staff are friendly and obliging - service was great and the curries arrived promptly and were delicious and as described on the menu. This was my second visit in a month and even better than y first visit. Sadly, on the midweek night we visited, the patrons dining in were sparse but the takeaway orders were providing more business. I do hope locals support this great business and ensure they stick around for many years to come!!!!

Fast, fresh fabulous food, with friendly faces! Come and join us. Areas for every occasion. Mezzanine Function Room upstairs, private bank vault dining downstairs and restaurant in between. Perfectly located bang slap in the middle of Feilding. Join us, we'd love to have you!
Walked in as a casual for dessert with a friend after we had a nice meal at the Thai restaurant in town. Asked the duty manager if we could have desserts for 2, and was told to take a seat. We were given the dessert menu which looked rather average. Waited 20 minutes was ready to order straight away, wasn't given water, offered a drink or dessert order ? So walked out and went back to the Thai restaurant for a dessert. Extremely poor customer service. 4 members of staff, and 4 tables in the place. Extremely embarrassing for me as I talked it up to my friend. Won't be back.

Hansen's Cafe and Store is located in the village of Kimbolton, 20 minutes north of Feilding, or 50 minutes from Taihape when heading South. When traveling from Taupo to Wellington, turn off at Mangaweka and take the fully sealed scenic alternative route to State Highway 1. Kimbolton is located halfway between Wellington and Taupo which makes it the best stopping point for lunch and a walk. Hansen's provides a clean, comfortable and warm atmosphere. Our food is prepared in-house with salads, vegetarian and non-vegetarian hot meals. We also have gourmet pizzas available, freshly made for dine-in or takeaway. Our GF pizza base has a good reputation and we also have several other GF options. Kitchen closes around 8pm on Friday but diners generally stay until 9pm or so. We open at 9am on Saturdays for those looking for a delicious breakfast. Our quality coffees and loose-leaf teas are complimented by a tasty range of slices and desserts made in-house. We sure hope you enjoy your visit!
Called to Hansens on the way home. What a spot, just planning to get coffees , but the slices looked so good, and soup on the menu. The pumpkin soup amazing, slice was better. Kids loved the wedges. Coffee was great. Freindly service. Will return for pizza.
Homemade food at its best. A++

We loved the curries from 4 Flames. My wife and I got 3 half dishes to share and each of them had its own very distinct and delicious flavour. Being able to order half curries is also really good value and great for trying a few dishes! Highly recommended!

We had a reservation, but when we arrived our table wasn't ready. We were told we can wait at the bar, we awkwardly had to stand given there were no bar stools. We were eventually seated, we ordered some cocktails from their one cocktail menu and one of the drinks (that involved creating layers), ended up being a mixed mess. The waitress acknowledged this but didn't comp it (if you can't make certain cocktails, don't offer them). Similarly the meals took forever to come out, and when they did, while delicious, were rather small. I left thinking I would probably never go back.
So while the food was good, it's about the whole experience.
